If you are indeed a "newbie" as you've stated above, I recommend that you stick with WindowsXP and stay away from shell replacements like litestep. WindowsXP is incredibly stable and the explorer shell that's included works fine for most. For desktop enhancement, go ahead and try a combination of Windowblinds and Desktop X. Start with Windowblinds so you can get the hang of it, then when comfortable, add Desktop X. Good luck - and have some fun. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles

I read the entire thread before making my post.
