3vs3 maps GreenFields : This is a fun map , where you can fight militia and grab yourself some Terrans to get a good economy. However things get spiced up as you hit the middle , and your team has to start working together. I have risk and red crush in the mappack. Ive also included fixed versions of Twinempires , malestrom and aerolian. Atm , ive redone pretty much all my maps. 24 maps in total.
Hey , I might try it. Currently my Work In Progress New Mappack has over 20 4vs4 maps and 12 3vs3 maps and its rising. Wipes the floor with my old mappack. None of my old mappack maps are good enough to be included in this new mappack. Currently im tidying them up to make them "officially" presentable. Heres a sneak preview pic... There should be an option to decline a computers surrender
I find the devs lack of interest in this issue worrying and disappointing.
Is that True? Yes and No. Its true there are 125 people online at any one time , but its enough to get you games. Dont worry about availability and having tons of different type of games to join Its different in sins. Person that can host comes on and hosts a 4vs4. 7 people join. Next few wait in lobby until a new host comes. He hosts a 3vs3 , the next 5 join... People can wait for 5-10 minutes in the lobby at non-peak times , but at peak times theres often a 4v
No point in using subverters and ra, nicely done...relax and wait for the beta.
You reckon they will be flexible with balance in the beta?
Go for the 8800GTS 512mb (rev92) , if you can afford it. If not , then go for the 9600GT
bit more info please Are you raging against the ease of beating AI simply by making more ships? or Have you gone online and just got beat by someone who knows how to make more ships then you?
@ Dragon Basically when I say pirates , I mean those torrent pirates. Im not refering to anyone who is complaining here. Because 1.1 is strictly through impulse , im hoping that its security is tight enough that pirates wont be able to patch their pirate versions to 1.1. They have done so for 1.05. From this standpoint I support impulse. Because having a game that ive legitimately bought being better and more stable then one downloaded from a torrent gives me the satisf
Aleast with 1.1 , I can tell those damn pirates "enjoy your minidumps" This is what happens when you have standalone patches... [link="http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/44490633/sins+of+a+solar+empire?tab=summary"]Bad[/link]
Ok a map like Foreign invasion is meant to be a "high tempo map" . Do you help your stranded ally or do you try to kill their stranded player faster then they can kill your stranded player. Its actually a very good dynamic. Leave this map alone. However ...Twin Empires , fix it for Left vs Right play please.
Yah... I know... for all you guys out there who know how to play the game who are rolling your eyes
I would , but I cant find the smiley
So have the Devs fixed Twin empires? because its such a good 4v4 map but spoilt by random positions instead of fixed positions. A good solution is the option of "fixed positions" or "random positions" , which is what other RTS do. Its bread and butter... If the map code prevents this then release two maps... Twin_Empires(Random) Twin_Empires(Fixed)
AFAIK in the 1.1 changelog there is no mention of starting position fixes or options to have "fixed" or "random" starting locations. :( The pitiful thing is it takes 10 seconds to fix Twin Empires in Galaxy Forge , but ironically because there is no auto-map download feature ,its impossible to host the fixed version of Twin empires unless everyone has manually downloaded it from me.
For me its not that Sins is losing interest , but other games are gaining interest. By the time 1.1 comes out , Sins might be yesterdays game because Gc2:Twilight of the Arnor is growing on me very fast.
I use seekers to kill construction frigates. spending 1k on seekers and sending them in to kill all the construction frigates , could be the difference between you fighting against just the enemy fleet and you fighting against the enemy fleet + 3 repair bays Ive found to have a few seekers valuable in a fleet too , because if your going to jump to another world , it might be a good idea to send the seeker first. If your lucky the enemy will break formation to chase this seeker
Ok So listing everything that can repair/absorb shield or hull...
