This idea will = EPIC fail! Honestly, that's what I see happening at this point.
Hazords attempts are valiant imo. Anyone willing to devote time and prizes to improve a community deserves better replies. However I cant help but think that the

Dont forget to keep on building ships , even at peace time. Reason why Hard AI beats new players , look at the fleet size graphs. New players make ships during the times when theres a war going on however moment theres peace , the new player starts doing 4x stuff like making culture and he forgets to keep on making ships. So lets say Hard AI comes back after 20 minutes of peace time , he will&
Ok, so it is considered bad form to quit which I can understand and agree to. However consider this please. As a noob/newb (whatever) I have been playing the game for 3 weeks now and decide to try my hand online. I play 10 times and get thrashed 10 times but I don't quit because it is bad form. But then my stats will show 10 games 10 losses. how many of you out there wouldn't kick me from a game the moment you saw my stats? or decide not to pl

Im waiting for 1.1 official. Then people should have no reason to stay in 1.05 and we can all get together on one version. I do see some storms in the horizon tho , with those people who will only move to 1.1 once it becomes a standalone patch , as there was no agreement upon purchase that an online tool like impulse would be required to update the game for mulitplayer compatibility. More a principle thing for them I guess. Hopefully 1.05 will get so lonely that anyone serious

Timing is a bit bad in all honesty with the 1.1 transition. 3rd prophs attempt at a competitive arena failed during a time when there were quite a few hardcore gamers playing the game on a regular basis. Whats different about this , that will make it a success during a time when most hardcore gamers have left the scene and we are getting more a conveyor belt of casual gamers with only a parting interest in online play before they move on...

With TEC , you should hopefully have an economy thats greater then advents. If your in late game , for single player ...I would see +150 - 200 credits per tick as normal. Because fleets are capped at 2000 , the key for high econ TEC players to win a fleet v fleet battle is reinforcements and make sure they dont just pile up back at your shipyards , make sure they move straight to the battle. . So even if your losing more ships then th

The United States has taken the role of the "world police", we give our mens lives for others to be free... and you say we are there for oil? For the record, not only does the US have reserve oil, but also many untapped oil in -our- ground. If this was really for oil? Would we reallly still be there? No, we would of taken it and left... did we leave? No. If it was seri

Kinda gives me an idea this. All players who are sick of silent premature quitters and noobs should all carry a suffix or tag , and we all add each other on the friends list. This way people can play games confident that players will stick around and teammates are reliable and know what they are doing. Maybe we can create a registrar of all decent players who want to play decent games.
I will be sticking with 1.05 until I hear that a better version exists and works better for LAN parties. I have held 4 parties that have included soase and have found my own ways of getting around the problems.I will be looking for more maps that allow for 8 players and have fewer than 25 planets. These are my thoughts (probably not original)for using 1.051) All machines should have at least 1 gb ram2) The processors should not be too dissimilar. I held 4 player LAN yesterday with all the

Early Surrendering is as bad as Early Quitting if not worse . Keyword being Early. Any form of leaving early should be frowned upon and especially surrendering because people think that being all righteous by taking a stat loss compensates for pussying out of the game prematurely. Its wrong and it leaves the game in a really bad state for those who dont leave games prematurely. Majority of games in sins are concluded by one team eventually quitting bringing up the Victory Screen. I don

I think the most Hated group should be the Silent Quitter and sins unfortunely is full of these noobs . Quitting in general is understandable because the game is so long. And surrendering is just as bad as quitting , because it leaves an Inert AI for his allies. I dont mind a player quitting if he says "gg" , or types to tell me he feels the game is over. Im fine with that since spending hours planet bombing gets old. I mean lets face it , the stats are pointless , only thing th
I dont understand what all the fuss is about in here really. Just join a game set up for ffa at the start with unlocked teams. For example in an 8 player map with 2 stars, ask in chat who is in the same star as you and ally with them. Its the best option we have until this is "fixed".
1) Single star maps. We want 4 v 4 with teams starting together ,as an option too. 2) When one of these players disconnects for whatever reason , the AI doesnt follow "house rules"

@Paulta.. I campaigned for the raiding element in Sins a long time ago , but raiding which has always been the true test of unit control in other games , would simply be a nightmare in Sins for two reasons... - Raiding requires focused unit control , therefore the ability to manage simultanous battles under direct supervision. The indirect left bar is insufficient and its pretty tedious jumping from one area to another in sins , compared to other games. - Inorder for
What i don't like about this game is that there's no front. An enemy can just fly to your home base, 10 planets in from your supposed "front" without meeting resistance. It's bullshit, to be frank. Gravity wells should be static and constant on any planets with phase lanes that connect between 2 planets owned by the same team, or same person.
There are fronts , because fronts are neccessitated by the logistics of reinforcements. I agree with all your points. I would add however Point 2 - This is more prevalent in other RTS games. Ive found that by comparison , Soase has by far a very mature community. This could be linked to how Sins is a slow complicated game requiring the patience that kids often lack. Point 3 - This is by far the games biggest sin. What I find is that many sins online players arent "long-time RTS players" so dont understand the concept of not quitting without explanation. Alot are
A particularly nasty exploit. You have to use it. You end up using it anyway when you switch up.
Thats the big problem making mp games a bit undesirable. You cant make a gentlemans agreement to not use this exploit , as people will accidently use this exploit when switching. This is why Ironclad should release a hotfix asap .
