That's really good if it's your first try.
I doubt there's a poly limit. Try cutting parts off the ship to see if it works at lower counts. If it doesn't, than you probably did something wrong when importing.
This happened to me with Sins of a solar empire. Achieving it first than running seemed to stop this from happening.
Most major companies discourage user mods under different engines. Lots of bad impressions while playing a mod. And it's copyright infringement (or something similar) to use something someone else made and copywrited without asking them first.
Shattered suns will be a hit and miss. Shiny pictures and website, but not so shiny game.
The game is overhyped. Not saying it won't be good, but chances are it will have much less replability as some think.
Isn't the whole point of alt+tab getting to the desktop?
Small complaint with AI: On average, it's almost too easy to buy planets off of them. While they were in my terrortory, they were close to the border (and newly colonized). The AI also will build a starport, but no factories.. (This was while playing Average) Does the research take more 'money' to get later on? It seems like research just becomes easier and easier to get, instead of getting harder. I have a stronger economy for researching, but still.. Wh
Actually, nuclear power was one of the first ideas of atomic energy, instead of using it as a bomb.
[quote]Trigger happy republicans? OMG do you drink the kool-aid or do you bath in it?Just cuz Jon Stewart plays at being a reporter, doesn't mean he is one people.Somalia? Bosnia? Serbia? Asprin factories? any of those ring a bell? Forget about or yearly skirmish under the clinton regime against something? I think they did a movie about it, Wag the dog.or how about Operation Desert Fox? you know, Clinton using military force against Iraq too. Know why? Well it's because Iraq declared wa
Oil has tremendous amounts of energy, and is relatively cheap. Why we need to switch from oil to renewable is beyond me, renewable just doesn't have the same punch. Militarizes will help push the useage of renewable resources though. Never fun to be at war with someone who has your main strategic material.
Chinas success has mainly to due with their low health and labor laws.
They've announced that TA will be the last major addition/change to Galciv2 But for galciv3, I would love more tactical battles (along with longer military tech tree).
Haha, calling usa open borders..haha. We're alot more open than alot of other countries, but we'll deport you, or hold you in prisons if you lost your passport!
Is there a way to mod it out of the save files? Or are they encrypted? (Still trying to find those pesky files myself!)
No, it couldn't. Unless you want 3 versions of each map.
When I tried to create a very fast moving scout and finally built it, it's speed was much lower than I thought it should. In the ship designer window, it's speed was around 27 PC/WK. A bit extreme, but I was planning it as an emergency defense for my extremly long border. Immense maps are fun! However, when I finally built the ship its speed was a hogish 5 PC/WK. A single engine could do that, let alone the 3 or 4 engines on that ship. Tested this alittle furth
Replaced any farms that brought my planet pop past 20 to an entertainment slot. In one turn, my population lost about 100 billion. In that turn I went to 97% approval, and 10k income, with 100% going to social. Yikes!
People sure do love stealing the works of others, eh?
Ty for the suggestions, will try it out. Which race (in TA) has the research for Heroic Measures, and what does it do?
My approval in a huge 20+ hour game has suddenly started tanking. We're talking 1-2 points per turn. My reserves are about 100k, and still making a nice $3k with only 5% taxed. Since I'm a trader this game, I decided not to have military ships during peace time (aka: I have no military hindering me) Any suggestions on what I can do? Alot of my planets are at 40% approval, and I'm wondering if installing entertainment will boost my aprooval; or will it take too l
I don't think being a trader would work anymore; very hard to find a large game that makes it a useful strategy, and online now just feels too competitive. Back in the beta people played for fun, now they play for wins. =[
Any crazy gameplays you've seen, that actually worked? People massing scouts the entire game--People bulding no military and only tradng, ect. Back in beta3, I decided that I wanted to be a "Trader" for one game. I told everyone to ally me and you'd get alot of gold later on from trading. I expanded quickly and built up alot of trade posts and started getting a nice income for myself. This let me buy some more military units which I sent to other systems
