Thanks, Hankers. I did read that over a bit before I looked at a .ini file. There seems to be a lot of repetitive stuff in there. Does it matter WHERE you put things in the file? I've noticed there are lots of blank things in there, does this mean that the .ini file is like a form to fill out? I can copy a .ini file and put in my own parameters? SHOULD I do it that way? As you can see, I've never played with anything like this before.

It dosent sound like there was anything you could have done to prevent this from happening. Even if you knew where he was, you would not have known THAT was going to happen. I know it had to be upsetting and painful to see that happen to one of your children. I would want to kill the guy too. When my son was about 8 years old, the neighborhood bullys beat him up pretty bad. This happened about half a block from home! If I had been there, those kids would be dead and I would be in jail.

Ditto. Politely turn them down. I think if they ask why (which I doubt will happen) tell them the truth, that you do not want your work associated with a group like theirs.

OK. It seems I have found a way through this problem. Here is what I did. WRONG WAY: make a new layer and name it sliderbit. The program will add the # sign on it and NOTHING you do can change it. RIGHT WAY: COPY the first sliderbit layer. This will automatically be named 'sliderbit copy'. Then click on the layer name a couple of times, till you get the bar indicating that you can type more into the name...backspace over the word copy. It then stays named 'sliderbit' with no #

Thanks for the link MySecret. I went there and looked things over. Looks like there's a lot of good stuff there, but nothing to help me with the problem I have. I did find out that this IS the problem though. I took a Xion skin that my brother sent me in .psd format and opened it in the GIMP. GIMP automatically put the #'s on his sliderbits too. Then I saved it (in .psd format) and loaded it into the interfaces. Once again the sliders with the #'s do not work. I cant see any way around

I've been using it with no issues too...until now. So, when you made a Xion interface and it had more that one sliderbit, does it say #1 or #2 after the layer names? I'm curious to know because I'm not even sure if this is the problem.

Gimp and Xion...Sliderbits Don't Work in Skinning WinCustomize Forums

I'm creating my first Xion and encountered a problem. My sliderbits are not sliding. I have the layers set up right. I sent the interface to my brother and he told me it might be the layer name. When I name it sliderbit, it adds a #1 and #2 to the end of the layer name (so far I got 3 sliders). The first sliderbit works fine, #1 abd #2 do not. My brother told me that in Photoshop, it does not automatically add the # to a layer if it has the same name. It does in GIMP. Anyone have a clue how to g

I've notice that everybody that replied to this post so far have been members for a while. I'm a noob. I've only been a member since July 8th. So Zoomba, can you list out the awards and what they mean? I agree. I have no idea what the awards ARE, let alone how to get them.
