if memory serves me right the taskbarbuttons governs the taskbar size.. anyone feel free to correct me as it was some time since i made a blind now :)

well as with my latest blind i have no problem whatsoever to read all that, but it has come to my attention that other people have a really hard time reading dark on dark...

All settings made in the WB config applies to all skins when applied, if you are tinkering with blinds in Skinstudio you can always use save as to make a copy, or in the menu manage skins i belive there is a option to make a copy of them. Windowblinds never make permanent changes to the original skin/blind.

you could try the transparency switch, open it in sks6 and go to controls-menus and check the boxes named trans and alpha, reapply the skin.
well as i get it, the startbutton pic size dictates the position of the quicklaunch icons so them going under is odd... although im not any good in the vista skin department so ill leave this one to a vista skinner. 3rd screenshot background on startbutton not present in earlier screenshots and xp where does it come from?
