I bought this game right after release. I'm a diplomat; meaning, I enjoy playing such games from a view to enjoy diplomatic relations with other players. It seems impossible in this game. I cannot deselect "conquest" on one of the setup screens. And, even on the easiest settings, whenever I meet a computer player, he or she hates me, refuses any offers of diplomacy or trade, and shortly thereafter declares war.
