Sometimes I don't get the popup to choose quick battle or tactical battle when I attack a monster on the map. Is that a bug or a feature? Is there a way to make it always give me the choice? My champion just died because the quick battle made him try to attack a wolf hand-to-hand instead of casting a damage spell.

Same thing happens for me. http://www.mediafire.com/?zgnzzudgozn
Unfortunatly no, this is a machine at work and I suspect my IT guys would yell at me if I starting intalling OS patches. :-(
Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2. Any other info I can get you?
I agree. 95% of the games end up being unbalanced with AI. But I played a really good pantheon 3v3 game yesterday. It was pretty balanced and ended up going all the way to giants for both teams before we won. I think that was the only game in the last week or so that was good.
Ready to play crashes immediatly when starting up on my work computer. It works fine at home. Here is the info about the crash: System.Windows.Markup.XamlParseException: Cannot convert string '/ReadyToPlayCore;component/Images/rtp.png' in attribute 'Icon' to object of type 'System.Windows.Media.ImageSource'. No imaging component suitable to complete this operation was found. Error at object 'ReadyToPlay.Forms.ReadyToPlayWindow' in markup file 'ReadyToPlayCore;component/f
I second pacov here. MP is fun. But can be really crazy when everyone on the team constantly sprints fromn place to place with no break inbetween. ;-)
My gamespy id is SirBriguy. Hope to see you all ingame sometime.
The more I play the more I only consider # of games as a good indication. I personally have 170 some games but I suspect about 100 were AI stomps in pantheon or cases where people rage quit and one or the other team conceeds. So my high win % does not indicate my skill. :-(
I liked the idea of using a skirmish mode scheme like what Pacov wants but overlay pantheon on top. You join a side (Blue/Red) but can play any demigod with any other players. At the end of the game, your individual favor would go to the side you picked. Kind of a best of both worlds maybe?
I think the tournaments are taking about 2-3 weeks to complete and based on the current scores, we are about 1/2 way through this one.
I also had a bad pantheon experience over the weekend. Not because of unbalanced players, but because of unbalanced demigod choices. I was oak with 2 regulus players against 3 UB on Exile. We were doing OK until they hit level 5 and all got grasp. At that point if we engaged one of them, the other two will run over and chain grasp us to death. The main problem was the chain stunning. I know it has been discussed elsewhere, but UB grasp needs to work like other stuns and give immunity.
Pulling it up in my debugger gives this info: System.NullReferenceException was unhandled Message="Object reference not set to an instance of an object." Source="ReadyToPlayCore" StackTrace: at ReadyToPlay.Utilities.Logger.LogError(String strMessage) at ReadyToPlay.Forms.CopyAndPasteErrorWindow..ctor(String strError) at Ready
So I grabbed the new version and that particular crash has gone away. Now I get: An unhandled exception ('System.NullReferenceException') occurred in ReadyToPlayCore.exe [2964].
Regarding ShakeNBake's #2 question, I would like to ask the opposite question: When are Regulus, Rook, Torch Bearer and Queen of Thorns going to be hit with the buf stick?
I am not part of any premades (no firends playing [e digicons]:([/e] ). Most of my experience with premades has been joining games and seeing 3 people with good Win/Loss records who have played tha last couple of games together. I always back out of those lobbies. The couple of times I did not fo whatever reason, the game was a total stomp loss and not fun. I suppose if the PUG were all good people, it could be fair, but it is pretty random to get that. What could be

And until the stats are visible in game, make sure you check the players stats on the web before you ready up. I have seen quite a few games listed as "NEWB only" with very experienced players or premade teams looking for easy stomps.
Banned for redundency.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it still crashes when I try to run it. Is there any other info I can give you?
I got this exception right after installation. Frogboy, just wanted to say I have been enjoying the game since I picked it up on Labor day weekend. But you might want to try playing a few games with people who don't have super low pings, so that you can feel the pain many people are going through. My machine at work has a great connection, but the game still lags like hell when playing sometimes. And my home connection is one of those slower uploads you talk about, sometimes it is OK, sometimes not. If anything can be done
