The truth of the matter is Christmas release for products, any products, are a VERY big deal. I wonder if it is a such big deal for TA that won't be available at retail store.
Look I'm sorry but if they judge thier beta length on what a few dozen people post on a message board, there is something wrong with thier business model. I'm all for a company appreciating thier customer base, it
Just found another side effect of this one. If asteroids mined by someone else are in the way your ships try to attack it. Successful if your at war with them, but you get the warning about going to war otherwise. It seems to happen most often very near the end point of the trip. They seem to home in on the nearest object and either try to kill it or colonise it. Reminds me of a girl i met once <IMG id=ImageResize_Image_6 src="smiles/Smile.gif" onload=ImageResizer.createOn(this); align=ab
Its a one sided poll because most of the people visiting this board are regulars that also pre-ordered TA. If you are already playing the game then as a gamer you will of course prefer a later date because, well lets be honest, you already are playing the game so what does it matter. The truth of the matter is Christmas release for products, any products, are a VERY big deal. Missing a Christmas release can cost a company a HUGE amount of money. Many people do not even make purchases in
Isn't there a way to revert to the last build. I looked at the download manager but couldn't seem to pull up the prior build.
Still no fix. This has to be one of the most annoying bugs I have seen. Its game breaking for me, I don't even want to play. I take that back, I do want to play but refuse to move every fleet every turn.
I would like to read one as well but unless its a big arse manual it might be useless. The books that generally come with games are very limited. I wonder if there is a 3rd party publication.
Anyone? Beuller?
I can't seem to find the information about how game scores are calculated, maybe someone can point me in the right direction.
Those thumb nails are so disgusting I can't bring myself to download the new patch. Would rather stick with the last version of the client.
Thanks info. I have 2 comps at home and would like it on both since they are in seperate rooms.
I have 2 comps in my house, can I download my purchased GCII/DA on both machines or do I have to purchase it a 2nd time?
I've seen odd things like this with DA. I recently sent a couple transport ships to a planet to invade and was actually watching them on the screen move toward the planet then poof....gone, never to be seen again.
Whats the deal with Metaverse. I played and uploaded several scores with DL. Got DA and now every time I play a metaverse game it gets an error after the game and says it cannot upload the score to metaverse. P.S. I know how metaverse works so don't ask me if I log in at the beginning to start a metaverse game, the answer is yes.
Hmm, I never had 1.6, I just recently purchased the game so 1.7 is all I have ever had. Was 1.6 more stable than 1.7?
Yea, when I paid for the game I didn't receive a message that said I would be able to play it after the next update. I need to pay more attention to these things.
I set my numbers that high just to make sure it wasn't a page file issue. I'm using the most recent beta release of DA, 1.7 I believe it is. As far as my settings I didn't change any settings, just straight load and play. I would have to look to see if you had anything specific in mind.
I don't think its a memory issue. Physical Memory: 2048MB RAM Page File: 199MB used, 4765MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS

Can anyone help me out. I've updated my sound and video drivers, I run in 1024 resolution and I have the AMD dual core optimizer. I also uninstalled DA and reinstalled it to try to fix the problem and I still randomly crash to desktop. It appears at some point during my game I get a corrupt file because I reload and crash at the same point again. I checked pagefile size and it is more than enough.
anyone? Beuller?
DA crash to desktop. I have no idea why or how to fix this. I have the dual core optimizer, I have current drivers for my video card, I run in the minimum or higher 1024 resolution. None of my other games crash on me, just DA. The crashes seem to be random during gameplay. I also have my pagefile settings at the appropriate levels. I read something about a bug report but have no idea how to submit one to this thread.
