if a PC version were released simultaneously with console versions and you had both systems, which one would you buy for?Console, without question.+1.The only things worth playing on a PC are strategy games. Anything else, I'd prefer the console version, thanks.
Only Strategy games.... hmmmm.... you're being serious too. Yeah... I love very much to play FPShooters with a gamepad because it feels oh so natural. Also... playing simulators such as IL2 with a gamepa
The PC can house any controller it wants. You can't rely on that. A. You can't assume everyone will be using a proper analog-stick-based controller. Therefore, you must design for the lowest-common-denominator.If I'm making a Wii game, I can assume that the player has the Wii Remove and Nunchuck; if they don't, they have more serious problems than my game not working. If I'm making a PC game, I can't assume my audience has a joystick; I have to make the game functional with a
Oh yeah.... there's nothing "traditional" about 3rd person gaming. Just because there are more 3rd person games made for console on average doesn't negate the fact that they'll run just as well if not even better on a PC. The PC can house any controller it wants. The console cannot say the same for itself. Who has more titles? Who has more FPSs? Who has more top notch looking software?
Because I've actually been paying attention to the previews of it. It is a console-style action game, much like the 3D Prince of Persia games or Assassin's Creed. These games do not play nearly as well on PCs compared to consoles, and they do not appeal to the traditional PC gamer.Err... what? Assassin's Creed plays very well on the PC. I don't know about you, but when you are able to defeat about 30 guards in under 60 seconds with the HUD turned completely off in a game that actually has
That is the nicest guy in the world I tell you what... Well shizucks.... looks like I can't install ToA with my version of DA being 1.5... and since my machine isn't online... I can't update. Gonna have to wait until I get net before I can check this work of art out. :SNIFF!: At least I know what the deal is now... and knowing is half the battle.
:CONGRAT: David in Technical support ROCKS!!! Love that guy! I'm assuming that Stardock is saving money in the "sales dptmt" which I can understand - they probably assume most people want to simply order online. I'm used to talking to people though. :p
I'm starting to get pissed here..... does Stardock EVER answer their phone? Or look at their voicemail? I simply want to talk to someone in Sales about ToA. Wth do I have to do to get some service? You don't offer the product in the bloody store (I'd already have it by now), and you don't answer your PHONE... how do I acquire this game? I AM NOT DLING the bloody thing, so DO NOT mention that BS to me! It should NOT be this hard to buy a bloody game, <br/
$10 to ship a single game..... :NOTSURE: If they made a box up... why didn't they just spend that money to ship them to the stores instead of having their customers endure the extra cost? Honest Question, Chr*s
I'm over it.... was feeling like a little girl yesterday. ;p
Good morning guys... Stardock, The reason I'm acting like a little girl and having these knee jerk reactions is because I can see this becoming a popular trend among gaming Publishers, and it worries me. Too much worry about "cutting" costs vs. simply getting the product to the customer - THAT combined with the fact that it cuts into my routine of shopping. Now... Stardock, if making a "cut" like this is necessary in order to bring your customers the best work possible, THEN '
Hi.Will we get some cover art to download and print like was available with DA?Thanks,Neilo. If I recall correctly, the retail box is being sent to those who want a cd sent to them. It's the only thing I can think of that would explain the increase in price.
WHAT!? $30 for the game, and IF I WANT A BOX, I HAVE TO PAY AN EXTRA $20 IS THIS FOR REAL!? If this had simply came to the store at $40 (Frys and Best Buy do $5 off), I'd be going home w
Hmm i just assumed the 20 dollars was a distance calculation? Like when I tried it said 20 dollars cos I am in the UK.Is it 20 dollars no matter what that? That seems a hell of a lot for delivery - even by Rip-Off Britain standards its steep...Yeah, it's $20 for delivery in the U.S. It seems just a *tad* bit off.
WHAT is this? Is this true? $20 to ship a single game box? Say it isn't so.... I'm about to lose it here.
WHY don't I see that GOddamn box at Frys or Best Buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shopping in the physical sense is PART of collecting... and Stardock has taken this option away! I am not fucking happy with y'alls decision..... Chr*s
I think the question is beyond silly. If you've any decent amount of common sense: you needn't even need a single reason to fully understand why it's silly to consider that as a real "possibility".
I am pissed!
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!!!!!!!!!!! STardock is about to hear from me! wtf!!!!!!!!! I see this pretty picture of a box, and I can't simply walk into Frys or Best Buy and buy this........................... foaming at the mouth right now
Call me Mr. Thread Killer. :SURPRISED:
Glad you got it resolved!!!! Best Buy and Frys here in Houston, TX STILL haven't received them... bout to find out if they got 'em in today or not... Dying here - READY to start a new Galactic WAR!!!!!!!
"We have set the launch date to be April 30th (late afternoon Eastern Standard Time) for the digital release." nevermind - it's TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :d  :CONGRAT:
HOPEFULLY Best Buy has them on the shelves today!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for informing me about it, guys. :) Have any of y'all seen TA in your stores yet? Frys and Best Buy STILL haven't received them apparently... I'm dying to start a new game, but I want it to be in TA.
One has to mess around in the registry to make the .g patch "work"??? That sounds ultra shady, Chr*s
1.8g hunh.... I appreciate you piping in.... TA is supposed to be out now - I'm going to Frys this week to pick it up! As for DA, the day I get net... I guess I'll grab 1.8g ONLY if there are zero bugs for it though. Thanks for piping in, Chr*s
