Often you try to run away from Ub
Yes and that is your problem right there, he is a close combat killing machine. Don't go into him, because if you try to run at low health you will get a SPIT on you and likely die. If you have the appropriate counters then spit is no problem. Play as Sedna, she counters UB so badly. The problem with UB as I see it, is that he is easy to play, people can play well with him at lower skill lev

Regs mines and UBs spit are fine. Mines counter - Move out the way. Easy to do when you are used to them. Spit Counter - Potion, Shields, Heal, Mist, buy priests. The trouble is that people see them as IMBA, they are not. Spit is only powerful because you decide to run at half health away from UB and get spat on. Use a little tactics. Don't engage a UB at close range unless you have something to counter spit. Otherwise just stay out of the way, if he spi

I think the problem with relying on the statistics, is that they can be misleading. There needs to be some balance (forgive the pun) on who you listen to. There are exceptions that can be brought up for either side. I am sure that Stardock view the stats with interest. However, there will be cases where higher level play will show that popular choices are not necessarily the best nor do they need to be balanced. Take SF IV

Sounds like an interesting build for DG. I don't think you can have any criticism at the moment, without the info on base stats and the base info on ability range, costs and cooldown. This DG will likely be very weak in one on one melee and very prone to focus fire. Look forward to seeing it in game.

Don't like the idea myself. It takes away the strategy of what you spend your money on and adds a factor of randomness that can break the game. You already get cash from killing creeps. Also, as mentioned DGs who are bad creep farmers will not be able to keep up with drops.
random potions over the map is bad for competitive play as it is already
Thats easily fixed, just go around and pick them

Lost two games to this now. Strangely enough, it may just be coincidence, but I was playing against the same guy on the losing team. He had whinged the game before that we were a premade, although not, in both games once the game was beyond recovery, it desync'd. I wonder if this can be abused? Possibly ALT-TAB out and change something in use?
I can tell you dont play RPG's much or really RTS there is no reason to have a high kill rate in an RPG or DEATH rate and in any RPG you play there is palentys, major ones to dying (unless you play WoW) which was ruined because of people like you.
Funny thing the internet...... I have been playing these genres for a long time. I made the top 100 in Supcom ranked, I am not the l33test player, but I know how to play competitively in games I
If there is no reward for killing, nobody will ever try to kill, why risk your life for nothing?
Just want to say on this point. Back in the day, when I played multiplayer Doom, there was no reward for killing apart from laughing at the n00bness of your opponent. Even if you drastically reduced the reward, it would still be satisfying to kill someone.

I knew it would be an unpopular choice and I would get a load of LOL NOOEESSS! I wrote a long reply, but not worth it in the end :p I still think that the rewards from DG kill are out of whack.

Idea : Remove Gold and EXP from Demigod kills (or at least give option in custom games to remove) Reasoning The one biggest thing that breaks this game is having a feeder, a bad player that wrecks your chances of winning. This game is not enjoyable to play with a feeder on your side as you have no chance of your personal skill winning through. Most successful online games have elements where even in losing you can still have enjoyment eg. racking
replace the standard blood of the fallen + mid game boots of speed combo with swift anklets + unbreakable boots +800 mana +5% move speed -200 hp costs 500 extra gold
If you are not taking Swift Anklet why take boots of speed? I never use boots of speed that much either. How about that versus BOTF and Nimoths. +700 HP and +750 Armour vs +800 mana and 15% speed. The only DGs that will b

This game is not competitive, it is just highly reliant on teamplay and one bad player can ruin it for the team. The same used to happen in Left 4 Dead, highly reliant on good teamplay, one bad player would ruin it. There is/was far more abuse online in that game than Demigod. This game will never be a competitive game IMO. There is little point in having a 1v1 league, due to Demigods not being specifically balanced for that. I also believe that I

I think one thing to bear in mind, is that the competitive scene is really when a critical mass of players is reached. Then there are enough in the community to form up regular groups/clans and play competitively. You cannot appeal to a "competitive" community, until your casual community is at it's peak and there is a big enough player pool to move into it. How many people started playing a game because of the competitive side of it? Very very few players. Most players start
The people who played that rule in SupCom were invariably terrible. I was astounded when GPG implemented it in a patch.
LOL it was a hilarious host setting. They would quietly be planning their base and getting their handful of units ready to go. I would already have a runaway economy started, with a horde of Tier 1 to be unleashed. They would get stomped in a few minutes after the walls come down and would suddenly complain about cheating. It rea
PCI & Dual Core chips are outdated?
I had a pretty similar setup, exact same CPU, I upgraded as DG was hammering my PC. Yes they are outdated, in terms of an Athlon 3800, even two years ago it was bottom of the dual core pile. A 7900 GT is also pretty bad for this game, I had an ATi 1950 and it struggled with the 3800. I upgrade to an Intel Duo 8400, I went to a solid Sim Speed 10 with the ATi 1950, from about 5-6.When I added in the GTX275, i
For HP UBoots and Nimoth are much better,
However, I think the point is that you will already have these items purchased, this is then a good upgrade. I try never to save money in this game, it always goes on an item, if I have 2500 in the bank and a slot free and I am back at base, then I will get the hauberk, a couple of consumables and get back out there. Otherwise you just have to come back 1750 GP later to upgrade.(In the Narmoth ring compari

Kind of funny there is a thread here about minions being OP, then in general there are usually a few threads about minions being useless. I play minion Erebus a lot and it is very powerful. However, it should be, the whole point of generals is that minions should be a viable option. Interesting is that if you look at the most played DGs and those with the highest win percentage they are two Assassins, Reg and UB. Both who can be played with fairly devastating anti-minion build

Bad builds IMO. UB is far stronger going Ooze and Foul Grasp. You can then drop Spit, need no mana item and can get more health. Hotly debated, but usually far stronger, the only exception being against a kiting Regulus. Regulus with stats and mines is also a weak build. Mines are easily countered by good players, don't walk over them or move on animation. Scope 2 and 3 are junk for a skill point, simply not needed. Better off getting Mines and Sn
