Seanner I got to say you managed to completely destroy any credibility of your arguments :) I think Yetis need a buff, however, I think Sedna can be validly played as a minion general still in the right conditions. There are some positives to the build, however an assassin build will always be preferred by a team. I think it is slightly flawed that heal is seen as so powerful, 1500 HPs towards the end game is not really a lot, Reg can crit that in one shot with Ashkando

Hey Bune, haven't seen you for a bit :p Yeah the matchmaking part of this game is very mismatch. The stats are broken. I don't want to see any kind of player ranking indication in custom based on the stats until they are fixed. The rating system doesn't seem to be much use, I am 3W 3L at the moment, yet have a negative rating (from 1000) of around 80 points. Seen as everyone at the moment is reset I fail to see in how an ELO based system I
I like Prison, it is generally a quick map, although not as strategic, makes a break from Cataract. Prison you have to stay with your teammates at ALL times.
often being unable to farm experience (The lanes are very far from the towers)
Are you sure you are talking about the same map? The creeps will always end up at the central towers, in fact you could easily let them come to you, stand in the central towers and gain doubl
Thanks Bara, just noticed that Achievements were showing on the Pantheon!! Great :) They never showed before the reset. Also, if you see this, can we get Kill / Death ratio added to stats, I would love to see that, means more to me than win / loss.
I had a comeback against me last night that was hugely annoying. We were almost double in warpoints, had been controlling the map. We had just locked one of the side portals in cataract. I portal back, thinking all is well and then it falls apart. My TB teammate decides he can play on his own and donates about 5 kills to the enemy regulus. He ragequits, we end up with an AI feeder, that was impossible to babysit, the game was pretty much in a 20 min deadlock, then we were losing slowl
I have to disagree. The slippery slope in Demigod is no way as bad as most other RTS games. Any other RTS in competitive play sees you basically on the losing end of the game even by the 1 min mark. In Supcom, even being out on waypointing your ACU at the start of the game would essentially equal loss. I have had teams come back against me, I have made comebacks against teams. Sure when you have a team mate feeding, it is gameover. However, in eve
Sorry I just have to point out where I disagree. Oak and Erebus have minions which do not scale as much as Sedna nor QoT. At level 10 minions have base: Spirits : 840 HP, 64 DMG Nightwalkers : 1130 HP, 38 DMG Yetis : 1710 HP, 51 DMG Shamblers : 675 HP, 30 DMG In addition to this Yetis have Heavy Armour (same as Giants). Shamblers have 2.5 Radius damage. Sedna and QoT can also buff thei
I actually posted in the general threads that Erebus's minions were rubbish. I decided to play a few games with a minion build with him and I have to say I am wrong. He is a very good minion based general. I generally drop Mist and Mass Charm. Bite is a good skill with minions as it can slow your opponent down so they can keep up. Most probably my favourite general now, very viable with minion/hybrid type build. Killing power and survivability.
Did you even read the usage I described? Locks are not for randomly spamming on flags.
Yes I did and I replied with an anecdotal example, where one team was a locking and always fighting on the middle flag in Cataract. I was making the point that they spent so long fannying around with it, that they were not wailing on creeps in a lane, the creeps were dieing mostly to the towers. Therefore it was a waste of their time and gold. Locks for me are s
A 44% difference means your whole team's levels are comparatively 2-3 higher than you would be by midgame and even more if it persists until lategame - we're talking on the order of 5 or even 6 levels here.
I know this in anecdotal, but I played Cataract yesterday, the other team had the flag in the middle a good 80% of the time until about war rank 7-8. They had on us 1 level, at about level 13. We actually were winning, when we started to reverse that t
Winning this game against the best players requires you to maximize your effectiveness at all points of the game. Potions are very effective for this early game. Good players will solidify their advantage very early game, often by level 5. If you really think that you have gained an advantage by forcing someone to burn a potion while you back to the fountain, you are a fool.
No, I mean that they are forced back, use the potion, while I am still at the flag.
Great news!!!
Team conceding will be in. Random demigod option is in. Updated AI is in. Reduced experience and gold from killing priests and angels is in. Heart of life has been nerfed. Tighter integration with the new online system is in for custom games.
Awesome updates!!! Can't wait to see what difference the lowered priest XP and gold gives!!!
That's ok, I'm sure a good opponent is perfectly happy with owning the xp flag >90% of the time against you. But good for you! You'll have your few hundred gold!
Flag - 250GP Spawns it guarantees - 1.5 XP per lane @ War Rank 1 = 33 XP XP per lane @ War Rank 2+ = 46.2 XP 250 GP to guarantee that much XP over 45 secs is most probably not the most efficient use of that money, especially if you are at level 5
I think consumables are a good investment as a back-up, they can be sold back for minimum loss. I often have a potion or two lieing around in case things go wrong, but I rarely use them non-stop in a battle. I have to agree on Sigil of Vitality, this is a blinder of a consumable and will allow you to play a lot more aggressively. You can really get your opponents excited on the kill then pop it. I like using it to play the injured runaway, they chase you down and you po
Heh, I played a guy today, it wasn't premade, but Zamzophs post reminded me. I didn't check the server settings, normally I have a quick peek. So we launched into the game and we have start level 5 and 8K in the bank. Dam annoying playmode, but this guy won because he was so used to this setup. It was destroying to the two teammates I was with, as they were newer players and had no idea what to invest in. I couldn't keep up with this guys kills (he was UB, I was playing Erebus for the
Sedna and QoT but they can all be effective. QoT is my least favorite general to play as a full minion spec but it does work.
I will disagree with this, in terms that Sedna and QoT minion builds, they are effective in certain games. Against any AoE proficient player, it is a waste of time. I think the idea is that there needs to be some careful balance, with minions to make a minion build a little more effective. It should be a via
Erebus' Nightwalkers
I would say in reality they are crap. Going minion build with Erebus, actually really gimps you very badly. The only reason why no one complains is that they are free. QoT and Sedna minions cost a lot of Mana, and are just not efficient enough. Oak is the only viable minion build general IMO. He can run a minion build in any game, as he has a lot of powerful synergies with his minions. His minion
You need to go full minion build with Sedna, then once Sedna is in and keeping the towers busy, your Ooze UB comes in to finish the job. Tower Rook is a poor against full minion builds. A full minion build means that you stop putting skills into Heal and Pounce, you get minion related skills and put your cash into minion objects. You will have 12 minions at around 2K HP each, with an immense combined DPS, you will be ripping down towers before the rook knows wha
I would would say that Rook is possibly the hardest to play DG along with QoT. There is something about him that is inherently weak. A lot of his abilities are situational and passive and require a lot of skill. TB, UB and Reg as assassins have easy to understand tree skills and easy mechanics (TB can be a little more complicated, but going Ice or Fire, you can still play him simply). Click on Fireball, easy 1050 DMG, click on Spit easy 1650 DMG DoT, click on Snipe easy 900+ D
I am not an extensive Oak player, I usually play him when there are no AoEs or feel like a change. I also don't take HoL and Shield, not sure why, just never found I needed it.Would rather spend the 4250 getting minion buffing items. Shield I don't find that useful, at least not in a minion build, the points can be spent elsewhere. For an assassin build it can be a lot better off.
Lets not make UB look so good, or the nerf bat will come :(
Pesticide is used on plants, oak is a type of tree. Yeah, I know, it's a stretch.
Hehe, just your title is Pest o cide :) Sorry just made me laugh....... not really much to add to the build tho, I use a similar one with Oak, he is the perfect minion machine
The title made me laugh. What has Pasta Sauce have to do with DG?
I propose that, after 5 pages of courageous debate and mind-numbing repitition, we close the discussion.
Amen to that!
I think the idea is that the AI uses the run into as many towers as possible, stand at the crystal or use a teleport scroll build. AI players seem to have a complete lack of ability to use skills, so having any type of build on them is most probably pointless.
