Seen as I play mostly PUGs, I have to say from personal preference and experience Ooze is a better all round build. Simply the lack of need of mana items is a huge advantage. As far as DG Killer goes, kills tend to be slow at the beginning, but ramp up as the game progresses. Spit is certainly useful, but overall I would feel confident that any Spit or Hybrid build will lose to the Ooze build. I wouldn't say that Ooze is necessarily just for tanking, in
If you're at 5,000HP and I'm at 3,450HP (with the flag), we can't measure the "battle advantage" proportionately. Now, when I lose the flag, it is a 1,200HP swing in your favor. It is still the 32.25% gain (proportionately), but now measuring it in that manner doesn't reflect your actual advantage in a fight.
Exactly :) That is why I am saying it is misleading, not that it is false.

UB gets the delayed attack bug after Foul Grasp, pretty much 100% of the time. Really annoying when you are chasing someone down, grasp them, then they are off again and you are standing there licking your paws! Also, a good tip for getting away from attacks is to turn a corner. The chasing player will invariably get stuck on the corner.

The point is that I understand that, that is not my problem. It is the two different sides of the same coin. The problem I have is that it can be misleading. Yes, the status change is 32%, however at the same time you are still only 15% more powerful than your opponent. You are not 32% more powerful, you are 32% more powerful than the situation you were in before. However, in real terms you are only 15% more powerful than your opponent who is at base. This is just as v

Ok, the only problem I see with all this flag crap, is that the 32% relative advantage is essentially meaningless. The math is correct, however, it is true that the real-life application of it is being screwed. To put a slightly different slant on it. State A Player 1 - No buff Player 2 - No buff No advantage State B Player 1 - 15% buff Player 2 - No buff Player 1 has a 15% buff, meaning they

When I really think about most of the kills I get as UB, it is really down to bad play by the opponents. Running late from engagement, not understanding how Ooze works, not watching for teleport warnings while sitting on flags. Easy stuff that would have prevented their death. Clever opponents will be trying to kiting me, or hit and running or calling in friends to back them up. My Kill ratio only looks blatently out

I play an Ooze UB a lot. With this build it is impossible to take down buildings effectively, until you are massively overlevelled. Against Tower Rooks, the build sucks a lot, also early game I rarely get a lot of kills with it. An advantage of UB is that it is fairly simple to play, you can have a lot more awareness. This gains me more kills than simple charge in and auto attack. Backing up allies or TPing in to ninja someone. This compared to Sedna, where hav
Many times have I seen noob regulus players that use it to outfarm their own team, crippling them completely.
A couple of times I have won games because I let my Regulus teammate farm both lanes, get outrageously uber levelled, then the opponent DGs have no chance. We were all at an avg of 10 while Reg was 16, our opponents couldn't then do anything against him.
A Sedna that goes full yeti has to give up so much else she gimps herself
I don't find that to be true. Heal is a very poor scaling spell. It gets a lot more efficient later on, but still 1500 HP is not really a lot in the end game, especially with focus fire. Also, 1000 HP with pounce end game is not that great, most DGs need to relie on DPS. The benefits of a Minion build is that you can go Armour and HP on the DG and buff your minions u

Minions need some help. Would love to see status effects added to them. However, I lot of people are looking at minion builds the wrong way. They can be very powerful. Especially when the corresponding minion items are taken. Your minions can be way over 2000HP a piece. If your opponent doesn't have a TB or Reg on their side focused on AOE, then they are going to be struggling. Against buildings they tear through them like candy. They are not DG killers though.

Well if this is the case, then no point capturing the flag first as you only get a 15% increase, might as well wait until after, then you will get a 32% relative increase :p ps I am being ironic Anyway in terms of the original post, flag locking all the time can be a waste, but it can also be useful even early on. The gold mine flags is interesting I haven't thought of that one. At Currency 1, then you gain (~270 x DGs on your side)
which is awful is you're fighting and then you suddenly take a huge chunk of damage simply because you lost the flag!
Isn;t that the point of keeping the flag? I have had my Sigil of Vitality drop off me, I was reduced to 1HP straightaway. As far as I am concerned it should debuff like this for temporary effects. Dropping an item though, that is a little problematic. Not enough to affect the heat of battle, bu

Oh dear, I hope this doesn't make Release. HP and Mana is great. However, items and gold is not alright, at least have the option to make yourself anonymous. It will be just another source of grief. Fine for team games, but for most of us who play PUGs, this will just be another source of WTF n00b you don't have HOL on ur shitty beast with no spit. Or y r u spendin ur gold on a crappy 3000 item, save for ashkandor n00b!

Before people comment please read this wiki page Ö http://demigod.wikia.com/wiki/XP_and_Gold_mechanics That is 99 Gold per Priest wave...... 3 waves = 1 Tower Before the 100 gold wave boost, you are earning 36 gold per wave. Buying priests early gives your opponents a huge advantage. It is broken in Theorycraft and it is broken in game. The only time it is viable to buy priests is towards late ga
I already made the point that Priests are situational. That's the whole point.
Yeah, but at the moment the situations when they are a great upgrade is about 2% of games. The rest of the time, they are just a stepping stone to cats or giants. They would be useful if they didn't make each wave worth 40% more xp and triple the gold value. More like 20% XP and 50% gold increase per wave. Then they would be useful and more in line with their overall worth.
You better be playing a moron opponent. I love it when Regulus wastes his mines on my creeps because it's damage I'm not taking. Now his mines have to recharge and he's down mana, making him much more vulnerable for a kill.
Why can't Reg use mins on creeps, what if all the other DGs are at their heal crystal? Automatically assuming that someone is wildly chucking mines around is a little silly. They can be used on creeps if the lane is unchallenge

Yeah I think you can drop the point in Heal and not be too hurt by it. I do like it though. Early game it is one of the strongest skills in the game. Even mid game it can be useful. Late game it possibly could save someone, but unlikely. I think one of the common mistakes with Sedna (I fall into it sometime) is to rely too much on Heal. It is easily interruptible and as you progress actually gets pretty weak. Much better off taking Pounce if you don't want to take the Morale u

This build is for players who want to play with minions. The key is that the first few skills are for an assassin type build. The advantage of this is that Minion builds are weak at the start and are best used when your opponents are not speccing for AOE. Also, her starting assasin type skills even at level 1 are key through the whole game and very mana efficient, meaning you don't have to spec so much for mana. This build is quite cash intensive, dont be fooled into thinking
