Should we take the lack of Stardock talkiness as a good sign or bad sign? I didn't watch the Streams so have no idea about what was said other than a comment I read on here about several CTDs in the first few minutes...

I'm with jirkaesch - totally understand Stardock don't want to put out a Beta with major issues and am happy to wait until the bigger bugs are deaded. I'd just like some official word from someone at Stardock to explain the situation today.

NEWSFLASH: This is a Stardock announcement that there is an imminent release of an upcoming update to an expected decision to set a date sometime within the next wee while to make a decision about when our wildly anticipated impending new release will be released and whether that release is upcoming, imminent, expected, unexpected, ahead of schedule, behind schedule or any combination of the aforementioned terms. Or, to paraphrase "Asterix": Crusade Beta may be released tomorr

The idea of Privateer is just the kind of thing I'd like: The ability to attack the Drengin on behalf of, say, the Alterians without the Drengin declaring war on me and making mess of my puny military because they don't know just who it was who killed Fleet Bravado... I really love the whole idea of resources and limitations: That if you go down Path A there comes a point where Path B is gone and no, you can't rethink your strategy and restart the whole thing. Those footst

Can we pretty please have a moritorium on the use of the word "option"? I refer everyone to a post in April 2015 from androshalforc: "man if they granted options for everything that was asked for an option they would need to change the name of the game to OPTION SIMULATOR 2000 make it an option to have the economy slider make it an option to have multiple starbases make it an option to have hot seat make it an option to have shipyards on/off p

Or maybe he's running an alpha of the Beta Trial release. And us waiting one week is the alpha. Having to wait a second week will be the beta. And following feedback from the Founders and bugfixing and balancing of the Beta Trial release, he will actually release the Beta Trial of Crusade. Just hope the process doesn't have a gamma, eh?

And McBob screwing up the name of the City. If he wanted to make life interesting: Manchester: "Good fucking evening Liverpool!" Glasgow: "Hey, London!" London: "Bon-fucking-soir, Paris!" At least he didn't call Melbourne any New Zealand city name....

So now in GalCivIII Founderland, the citizenry start their pacing around their gaming areas, hands clasped behind their backs, ocassionally looking at their watches/clocks and muttering "C'mon! C'mon!" under their breaths and ocassionally the excitement caused by the impending arrival of the Beta release of Crusades requiring toilet visits. Loving the idea of the Citizens. Will it be like, say Football Manager, where you can train a player in multiple positions but they'll

Okey-dokey, it's now January here in New Zealand and so, as I am from New Zealand where it is January... Frogboy, you can now tell us Kiwi GC3 fans what the details are for Crusade, as promised last month. Marketing probably don't know where New Zealand is so will just think "Ah, frogboy is just kidding us he told the GC3 fans in New Zealand all about Crusade, there's nothing past Australia!" So no worries 'bout being killed, yeah? So sorry, all you northern he

One aspect of politics I'd like to see is when one of your planets is on the verge of flipping to another culture, any ships built in that planet's shipyards attack any other ships built at any of your other shipyards (basically Planet Zorka declaring war on every other planet in your kingdom and then immediately the race Planet Zorka flips to declares war). Or, alternatively, for a few turns suddenly that fleet from Planet Zorka just will not do what you tell them aa

I like the idea of incremental difficulty. It actually makes sense when you consider that as The Galaxy Turns each race learns more, researches more and builds more. And over time does that faster and better. So not only will their ships become harder to smash than their first attempts, their difficulty should go up. How would you bring that into the game, that is the question: each tech/ship gives a % increase? More Mega Events occur for that race as time goes

Master Of Orion. Never played it, myself, so no idea where it ranks in the world of 4X but apparantly it's not too tacky for it's time. On further thought about things: the mix of species Frogboy mentions in relation of Master of Orion: That lends itself to espionage (your enemy appeals to a certain species on your planet etc etc)...

How dare you try and make this game a game you'd like to play, frogboy! Dang you and your opinions, I'm a Founder! And if you mess with my game I'll be a mushroom cloud layin' motherf...ker! Serious Mode back on: I like the tone of your first entry, seems you know what the Holy Grail might be but you're aware that just as you think you got it, hang on...Back to the drawing board etc etc. Good luck with the rest of the DLCs,

So, uh, maybe that's the No 1 Reason why they decided to introduce multiplayer, marigoldran? "Look, there's no way we're going to beat the min-max folk. Whatever we do with the AI you know at some point they'll figure out the Min-Max Method and then bitch about it on the forums because 'it's too easy, Stardock!' Um....tee-dee-tee...What ta do...What to...HEY!! Multiplayer! Let the min-maxers take on each other!!" As you yours

Actually, not only should they not be at War with you, they shouldn't have a Close relationship with you it seems to me. Trading with their enemies, trading with an infidel, concerned about your military buildup. Suddenly I'd be looking at my Close partner and gently asking WTF... I think the values for those diplomatic situations are a bit out of whack ie trading with an enemy drops you down a level or two (I assume they asked you not to and you refused or you started
Add a option to make save offer. (That way the human player can just go from faction to faction offering the same open borders, research treaty and, exploration treaty to each faction without having to select it for each one.)
So, if they can unlock the phone (does anyone really believe they can’t?), why ask a Court for an order? Because they want it “legally” (who doesn’t love a farce?), and more than ANYTHING, they want a PRECEDENT. That is what they MUST NOT obtain.
I go with this idea - that the FBI/NSA/etc can do a lot more than they're telling us, but know that to make that "lot more" legal, they have to make a legal preceden
