No. I can't create new games after leaving an old one, and am having random, unreproducible freezes.
Are these things Stardocks' fault? Not necessarily. They published the title, they did not distribute it . I am not criticizing anyone, just giving my views on what seemed to harm the game's playerbase.
Sorry, but I had to LOL here. I think you meant to say Stardock did not develop it.
Reproduced the crash. Started new game, played approx 10 turns during which created one city and recruited some heros, then saved and left the game to main menu and clicked new game and had CTD. dropbox
Quoting myfist0, reply 261@ KickACrip Those steps you describe are USER CONTROL. When Steam gets control there is no other option but what Steam allows. I "DO NOT" want any part of it. Steam is for cooking vegetables. Are you a vegetable. Not true - even with Steam you can easily install mods to the game yourself (downloading from the mod site, and insta
Well then you have not been paying any attention to the criteria that STARDOCK (you know, the guys making the game?) wants as a determination of whether to move forward. They are not going to "complete" the game any more in beta 1 either way, it is ALL about stability. And they have already made it clear that their internal; builds that we don;t see, the game is MUCH further developed than what we are seeing. So if you are wanting to see a more c
Started up Elemental after a hard freeze(game didn't produce any reports after I closed it manually) and started a new game. I had played 1 turn and don't think I even founded my first city when I left the game and went to the main menu. I clicked new game and immediately crashed. dropbox
I like the idea. Adds more lively feeling to the world.
Actually, please explain the differences. How is requiring a user to install third party software in order to get a patch "right out of the box" - sometimes just to play on their machine - any different? Plain and simple. That'
@ Myles, Things happen, servers go down from time to time. When that happens I go outside, walk my dog......smell the roses. the_monk So you're ok with Ubisoft telling you when you can/can't play your game? That's basically what they're doing because if they have server downtime, you can't play. You lose your internet connection for whatever reason, you cant play. I don't mind companies protecting their hard work, but all new DRM schemes are doing is inconveniencing paying customers while stopping pirates for a week, if that.

EDIT: Yes, if you want extras such as updates you need to down
Most people on TL, just like on any forum(though Stardock forums do tend to have a smaller idiot:poster ratio), is full of idiots who think they know what they're talking about. However, that said there are tons of top players on TL who do know what they're talking about. I also don't think strategy games should be based solely on micro. However, I do think micro should be an important part of the game that separates players. This comes from a top(lol) silver league player who suck
No, you can change which slot the human player goes in.
Here is a link to a explanation of the patch changes from Blizzard. I personally didn't think it was that big of a buff. What I personally find crazy is Blizzard's definition of a moving shot. There has been a relatively large clamor by top players for Blizzard to implement better 'moving shot' mechanics where you can fire then move away very quickly, and if timed right, fire and move off before coming
I agree that the world doesn't feel alive yet. However, at this point in development I don't think its expected to. Once all the core game mechanics are in the Devs should be able to focus on the 'small' things. Right now it's a good time to provide ideas on what makes the world feel alive and interesting.
Ryat's right. I thought I saw max_tech_levels, but obviously I was wrong.
Ryat is correct that the AI will handle different tech level fine, however, the hardcoded maximum tech level is 3 so increasing it beyond that will cause problems. Also, there are different damage application settings for each weapon. I believe they are 'overtime', 'instant', and 'backloaded'.
Please explain how Impulse is so very different from Steam. Impulse requires you to be online and registered to receive game updates Impulse requires you to be online to install and validate an installation
Impulse does not require you to be online at all times unless you setup offline mode, which I've heard is very buggy. It would also be very annoying for someone who has a consistent onl
