oophus were you in beta if so the same thing was happening to me and it's a problem with old demigod settings saved on ur comp. Go into my docs/my games/stardock/demigod and delete everything in there. Rerun the game and setup your graphics settings and then try LAN. There is nothing except this that would be blocking your LAN games.
You guys have all the latest windows updates?
yep both comps are up to date completely, same with video and sound drivers.
i was in the beta yes, but uninstalled first. Can you direct me to where the preference files are stored on vista 64 bit?
YES! I'm getting this error as well. I can't play LAN, hamachi, or online. It's VERY frustrating. Sometimes it randomly works and when it works, the no text is gone and replaced with the normal text.
did you use a driver cleaning program and delete temp files in between installing? or did you just install over the old ones.
If people are experiencing this over LAN (ie. not through a NAT device) then there is usually only one answer. Something on your respective PC's is blocking the necessary traffic. LAN means the traffic is simply being "switched" to the correct PC and is not being subjected to "filtering" of any kind. So the only issue which could be present is security/anti-malware software of some kind blocking some/all of
having the same problem, at that screen it says "no text" below the connecting message when it doesn't work. When it does work it does not say no text. This happens over lan and over hamachi, with several people trying to host. The only thing I can think of is my router Nat settings, but its weird that it does it straight over LAN too.
yea a P4 is no longer midrange. try turning up your virtual ram, it sounds like its running out of memory.
Mikes78 has it right. I'm tired of that "The way its meant to be played" logo, and it's rather irritating. AMD's logo is much more soothing and the sound doesn't get stuck in your head like the Banana Phone song. 'Specially since ATI cards play most games better than the nVidia branded ones anyways.
you are just itching for a fight eh? the old ati vs nvidia war is really pathetic. Look at benchmarks and
