I mean, you don't get a pony just for playing Elemental.
Frogboy has said that he wants Elemental to be the ultimate fantasy TBS game of its age. It may not do literally everything, but it's going to do a lot. And the basic framework for a lot is already present, it just needs more actual substance induced into the system. Hence, expansions.
Some things are going to have to be left o

For people sad about Dynasty: this expansion is about things outside your kingdom. I very much suspect that the next one will be about things inside your kingdom, making city design more compelling (hopefully making it matter where you put buildings relative to each other) making the dynasty system matter, and making champions more unique, with personalities and dialogue. As well as something else big and fancy that we wouldn't think about from our current perspective. That's what I'm

INT is basically useless. CHA is good for a champion that'll be sitting in a city all the time, but if you want your sovereign to move about, its value drops. And you can drop it all the way down to 5 for no penalty; just a forfeiture of gain. That stuff can go into combat stats and useful traits. Also spell books. Personally, I find the Combat book to be pointless, and Enchantment to be pointless once you get a decent cashflow going (thus making Alchemy superfluous). Terraforming is not nece
Sounds like a lot of great stuff to me :) Does "an updated economic system" pertain to the entire resource system, or just to gold? Either way, I can't say I see the current economic system as particularly flawed - trade could be more than it is, sure, but the system as a whole is, at least in my mind, entirely adequate.
>"these forums are civil" >someone mentions /b/ >suddenly faggotry, faggotry everywhere!
Um Why would you amass peasants? They're not a great unit choice. Design a better unit instead. Also research some equipment, like Xia said.
Hm. I use a strong one for financial things, but a fairly weak one for everything else (because really, if somebody wants to impersonate me and post on a forum as me, I can just email the admin and nothing of value is lost). I haven't heard about the 90 day changes being a security risk before.
Perks: Rumored to be in Skyrim. I may have understood it wrong.
Perks aren't a rumor, they're totally confirmed. They're associated with skills. There may be exceptions to that, but that's the general trend at least; the article talked like they were all like that.
10 races to choose from (Holy crap thats a lot of races)
No it's not. That's the same as every other Elder Scrolls game. So far, I like everything we've heard about it. I just hope
Something I do is to take an easy-to-remember password, and then move my fingers one step to the right when it's entered. It just looks like a bunch of random letters, and that's what it will be to a dictionary attack, but I don't go forgetting it. It can include capitals and numbers and symbols same as otherwise.
For the record, ranting is not trolling. If your post is entirely sincere and not just made to go pissing folks off, you're not trolling. Thus you need not feel like a troll.
I was all set to come in here and say this was a dumb idea, because I was thinking about it in terms of realistic weather effects and logistics. (which would be good, were a season something like ten turns instead of one, but is just too much when it shifts every turn). But tying it to elements is a brilliant idea. Sarudak's idea of just tacking another shard onto the count is simple and implementable. brycex99's idea for a more pervasive system is certainly preferable, but it

We don't want to know how you're going to befriend Xia's corpse.
Well, if Titans are like Primordials in Exalted, they would still exist after being killed, albeit less powerful and less sane.
AI has recently been made a good bit more intelligent in general. The artificial limiting of this is I guess not adequately implemented yet.
I don't know, I read Xia's and it is a good plot, but I worry that a Titan may be too powerful of an entity to actively involve. I don't like nailing down Titan power levels (or Titan personalities/behaviors) in this manner. I would recommend making this character the child of a Titan and a mortal - with the Crone implied to be the mortal parent. It's a really great plot though, and that is my only concern.

What are the technical constraints on what a quest can be? Most of the quests in-game are pretty limited, (get the quest, go to a place, maybe fight something, win) but presumably we are able to do a bit more than that.

Yo bro I'm happy for you having your opinion and all, but all of us here like Elemental just fine and know that Brad and Jon are human and we see Brad doing his damnedest to make Elemental a better game. With this knowledge, it's quite clear that you couldn't possibly be attempting to accomplish something real here, and thus must merely be trolling. Therefore I've reported you, and while I generally loathe the stifling of discussion, I will not mourn this thread. @EmersonPF: If t
