And here I thought I was the oldest kid in class. :) On May 15th, at 43 years young, my beautiful wife and I will both graduate (I know I broke the cardinal rule about not revealing a woman's age, but we're both 43). Oops! X-( She's getting her Art Education Licensure (K-12) for Colorado, and I'm getting a BS in Fishery Biology. CSU is one of the best schools in the nation for fishery biology, and I'm looking for my first 6mo fisheries technician position. A BS only quali

Neil, I have seen a couple of weird spots just pop up on my screen. I thought it was my lcd on this inspiron 600m but I think it's WB6 beta. I'm using the latest beta and I saw it happen with the previous beta but I couldn't capture a screen shot for you. Now I have one [link="http://fontinalis.wincustomize.com/photos.aspx?a=1&p=6&view=full"]here[/link]. Check out the weird spot on my screen. Looks like where a button in an app was sitting. I had ZA open then c

You guys are awesome! I like Philly's quote; "retired, best career change". As for me, I've been through, fastfood as a teenager, coook, dishwasher, potato slicer (believe it or not), electronics tech, pc tech, tech support specialist (whatever that means), tech support engineer, hardwood floor installer, and many more... ...and now I'm off into the great blue of fisheries biology. I'll make it work somehow, but when I returned from a US Forest Service conference tonight, I was

How many careers have you had? It's amazing. Think about it. How many jobs have you had, how many times have you said; "I'm tired of this shit. I'm going to do something else with my life."? I'm changing careers, and have been there and done that; so I was wondering how many people out there have dropped it all just to start something new. From high-tech to natural resources, from restaurants to university, from parenting to construction... What changes are you g

Hi Zoomba, I loaded JU in FF. Clicked on a blog. [link="http://sodaiho.joeuser.com/article/301467/Forget_the_Buddha"]Forget_the_Buddha[/link], clicked into the reply box, and couldn't see my active cursor. No blinking cursor, no text coming from my keyboard. Maybe that some of the webservers are not updated? BTW, this thread in WC is loading with an add over the reply box. The Reply button will not pull it up. The page has to be refreshed to see the r

I can't reply to this post [link="https://www.wincustomize.com/articles.aspx?aid=301345#addreply"]WWW Link[/link] ...so I am trying on this post. Somebody give it a try please. Half the time, the page reloads with an ad where the reply box should be located. WC is acting strange. Just wanted to give Zoomba some more info about how FF is acting on JU. f

Hey Zoomba, Any idea if WC plans on making JoeUser FireFox compatible? Sure would be nice. I have a group of friends trying to decide on a blog space. JoeUser is an option for IE users only at this time. Have you or anybody else used [link="http://https://www.blogger.com/start"]blogger.com[/link]? Any comments on your favorite blog spots welcome. Cheers, f ps hard breaks still not working on wc pss i just tried it again in FF and it works but there is a lag when typing or ba

Pretty nice looking site! Thanks! I hope it stays up and running so I can blog out my summer advanture. :CONGRAT: BTW, can you please throw in a favicon like we have here on WC? I see one major problem though. I cannot post to joeuser with FireFox. It doesn't work with FF but it does work with IE. Browser specific sites really don't do it for most users out there and this will cut down on the number of people signing up. Just something to think about. ;p

Update on the vanishing edited posts. They're not! When you open a post and it has more than one page, it still defaults to the first page so I usually post a reply on the bottom of that first page. The firs page of the post refreshes with my new post on the bottom. As usual I see some need for editing. I click on edit and resubmit. That first page of the post is refreshed with my post missing. The post was pushed to the last page of the thread but my FF browser remained on the fir

Got 2 more forum bugs for ya Zoomba. 1. When I make a post, then click on edit to make some changes, then click on submit to resubmit it; it vanishes into that big ole WC wormhole. Poof! Post gone. Gotta start from scratch. 2. When I click on insert web link button the url window opens up on the top of my FF tab, half stuck under the tab window. [link="http://fontinalis.wincustomize.com/photos.aspx?a=1&p=5&view=full"]insert url window hidden window thingy[/link] I'm

Check if your My Pics folder thumbnails look like there is an opaque screen on them after aplying this setting. Have to open and close the folder to see the glitch. 1. apply explorer backgrond in wb61 beta 2. open my pics folder with thumbnail view 2. looks like half the images have opaque screens on them blurring the images 3. set explorer background back to default 4. close and reopen My Pics folder. back to normal WinXPPRO/SP2 latest WB6 beta version

Looks like I just lost my last post when editing and re-submitting. Check if your My Pics folder thumbnails look like there is an opaque screen on them after aplying this setting. Hey Philly, can you check if this setting affects your My Documents/My Pictures thumbnails? When I use this setting and apply an explorer background then open up My Pictures (thumbnail view) everything looks ok. Then I close the folder, re-open the folder and half of my thumbnails look like they have an opaque screen over them. Go into WB6, reset defaults, go back to the open My Pics folder and the images still look screwed up until I close then re-open the pics folder. I can

You're right on the VM setting. Right click on MyComputer, select Properties. Click on Advanced then Performance/Settings, then click on the Advanced tab and click Change. Look at my screen shot. Make the max and min the same size so Windows doesn't resize the VM it all the time. My min max is set for 3070/3070 which is the win recommended on the bottom of the settings tab just mentioned. Reboot after changing your settings. I'm on WinXP/Pro/SP2, 2GB RAM. I tried to upload a

Hi Guys, [quote]Change skin fonts You also have a few other options in the WB configuration such as [B]disabling shadow and outline effects on controls[/B], and the option not to use any of the system wide fonts defined by the skin.[/quote] I tried this setting many times but I can't actually see where the shadow and outline effects on controls is taking (or not taking) effect. How can I test this? Thanks, f
