Did you do a search for either of those files on your machine to see where they are located?

It's my understanding that the ONLY way to update Stardock software is to use SCD. None of the SD programs have a 'check for updates' menu selection, or update button anywhere. It's how SD protects itself from pirates. Arg matey! Now only if I had a pirate icon. :)
About reading... one of my favorite quotes is from Frank Zappa "I think it's great books still exist, but they do make me sleepy" We all need more time to read but we're all caught up in this technobabble world we live in. Fun ain't it? Thanks. I think I'll give Inner Fish a look see.
ZoneAlarm Security Suite v7.0.462.000. Works like a charm, customizable, and catches everything Symantec does. No need for WinXP security center when using this. It's sweet! :)
CFX Plus seems to have memory leaks. [link="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory_leak"]Definition of memory leak here[/link] 1. Load up Harmony cursor basic (no effects, etc...), TM shows about 784k to start. 2. It goes up to 1400k in a couple of minutes with no movement of cursor. 3. 1hr later, TM shows CUrsorFX at 2,868k. CXP kept Harmony cursor at around 784k or so all the time. No creep ups in RAM usage. Also, change the colors on Harmony once, click

What if CursorFX wasn't such a piece of crap? OUCH! :SURPRISED: X-(
Man this is fun watching the boards go crazy when buggy code is put out. SD will fix it. They always do. Right? I agree aufisch, CFX loads friggin slow and I only have 66 cursors loaded. The CursorFX Control Panel is a hog too! Right now it's using 26,656k RAM, 91,388k VM, 33 Handles (ok), 14 User Obj (ok) but it sucks up 1,124 GDI Objects! The only other hog that can beat this is iTunes 7. Want some more fun? Double click on the LightRing cursor, open task manager and check
Philly, Thanks for all your help today. ;p See my last post here: [link="https://forums.wincustomize.com/?aid=175138#1451543"]#93[/link] Have a great weekend! :) Cheers, f
Sorry about all the these goldarned posts on CFX Philly. I just bought the CFXPlus, did a clean uninstall/reinstall via SDC and all is well. No more transparent window when dragging the app around, downloads are redirected to the proper folder, dbl clicking on themes in folders resets works too. However, the new popup warnings are soooo MS though. Of course I want to use this theme. That's why I double clicked it. I did find one bug with the new version though. If you use the Show Desk
I found another thing when using Firefox to download cusors. When I click on a cursor in the gallery, FF has the option to download or open the file with the chosen app (in this case CFX). I previously did this with CXP and it always loaded the cursor in C:\Program Files\cursorxp\themes and worked. When downloading and opening any cursor from the gallery in CFX using FF the file is placed in C\Documents and Settings\"Current User"\Local Settings\Temp which is the wrong direct
Casey, confirmed. With free version, I cannot double click any CFX or CXP cursor themes in a folder and get them to work. Must use the CFX interface to get them to work. Not so much a bug for me but a lack of functionality. I'm more concerned with the transparency thing I put a ticket in for. Should we put a ticket in for this one as well?
So Philly, no problem with CFX in XP when clicking on the border of CFX app, like when dragging the app around to move it? Maybe it's only the free version?
FYI Seabass I just put a ticket in #ODB-355055. Thanks. f
Seabass, did SD update the free version also? I just downloaded it and did the uninstall/reboot/ran reg mechanic/reinstall and still have the transpanrency issue I posted here: See Post #70 [link="https://www.wincustomize.com/articles.aspx?aid=175138#replies "]WWW Link[/link] Also, the free version only says version 2.00 on the about page. I'll post a ticker on support for this transparency issue.
Hi mjbisme. I downloaded the free version of CFX again and the transparency issue still happens with only the CFX 39 cursor themes that come with it located in: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes I didn't even move my old CXP cursors into the CFX theme folder. I had 52 CXP cursor themes in my CXP theme folder here: C:\Program Files\CursorXP\Themes ...and it never went transparent on me. CXP works great but I just wante
I want to try the free version again after the push with the fixes Alberto. When are you guys pushing it out today? Also, has anyone seen the problem I posted in #70 above?
If any of you Firefox users have your auto update turned off Firefox had a new update including security and stability fixes. Be safe out there kids. :) [link="http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/2.0.0.12/releasenotes/"]Firefox 2.0.0.12 release notes[/link]
Smoothy looks cool and refreshing especially with that mayan ip.
Bugaroo??? :SURPRISED: - CursorFX main window goes transparent when CFX app border is clicked anywhere (top, bottom, L/R side of the window. Results in a transparent CFX window with whatever background visible where the CFX app window was previously displayed (i.e., my browser, desktop, etc...) This happens with any skin loaded on WB6 when I click the border of the CFX app. I can reproduce it using any skin. Right now I'm using Diamond. If I unload WB then click on the CursorFX title
Happy Birthday! Celebrate for the whole month! I Just checked out your site. Earth Wind & Fire is pretty cool. Thanks. We need a baby boomer section here on WC., Cheers, f

Glad you guys enjoyed it. I didn't mean to imply it was me, I got this funny story from a friend, however, I have tons of stupid stories like this that I have really done. :SURPRISED: We all need a laugh on Fridays. Have a GREAT weekend!
