I'm trying really hard to make my new Windowblinds completely from scratch, and I'm using Photoshop to do this. My question is, what are the sizes of canvases a person should use for making the mockups of both the per pixel frames and UIS2 frames? Pretty much what I've had to do so far is pull in pieces of other Windowblinds I like, measure the pieces in Photoshop, then add all the dimensions of those pieces to create what the canvas size should be, then create a design in that ca

And to get you started, Z71 has a WB uploaded that he's made open source, 3nvir0, https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=6715&libid=1 All he asks is that you modify 50% of the skin, so 50% of your work is already done for you! There is no better time to start skinning than now.

You mean DesktopX things aren't witchcraft and alchemy? I was pretty sure that chickens had to be killed and candles needed to be burning in order to create these things. And what is this "script" you speak of? I've been afraid to learn this language, for fear I would lose my soul. (OH WAIT! I don't have one of those! Silly me) [e digicons][/e]

Thank you. I appreciate the advice, and although it's a cute idea, I know you're right. The frames are going to have to go.

I haven't slept in two days. I think I may have gone overboard with the embelishments. Obviously, I'm going to need to refine this thing and I'm glad I gave myself a good three months when I started it to experiment with it. Keeping in mind that Mardi Gras is all about excess, and getting it out of your system - here is what I have so far. The window frames are meant to resemble the balconies of New Orleans - wrought iron filigrees against brick. The

This is Damon: Who is not as accommodating when it comes to taking pictures as Mongy: Funniest thing in the world is watching the cat randomly pimp slap the dog when the dog walks past the cat.

I had it for a while when it was in beta. It wasn't any faster than Opera (my current browser), and when it came to skinning...Chrome was undependable. That current blue folder look is ugly. I played around with some of the skinning options for Chrome, but they would crash, and anytime there were new skins available, I had to uninstall Chrome and reinstall in order to make the new skin function. Too much of a hassle. Opera takes whatever Windowblind I happen to b

There are times I wish I could believe again. Being atheist is lonely. I have no church to attend, no people I can rely on, no "fellowship." I really miss that. Sometimes hearing hymns still makes me cry. I lost my faith because I got too close to the inner workings of the "Faith Machine" - the system of religion. I was married to a pastor, I attended seminary classes with him, I helped him study, and in the process I saw how it all came to be,

Honestly, I'm afraid of what this economy is doing to my integrity. I know a lot of people who are doing well right now are people who inherited their money from relatives who did illegal things like selling alcohol which was illegal under prohibition during the depression. I've been an honest woman up until this point. I've followed the rules, I've worked hard, I've stayed within the law, I've treated others the way I wanted to be treated, I've shared, I've give

It's enough to drive me to drink....except I don't have the money for liquor. (Angus...my spouse is without work, too; has been for over a year and he doesn't qualify for unemployment because he'd only been working 9 months before he was "let go" from the job he got right after finishing tech school, which I'm still paying for). *Heavy sigh* but like the good doc said in a different thread, as long as you have love, you're a success. (AND I have my health.. WOOHO
