Green and red are complimentary colors, how can they not go together? Somebody needs to tell Christmas it's been dressing all wrong.
Since I'm pretty much finished with my GUIC submission (still sitting on it, giving myself some time to make sure all things are perfect), I've been putting my creative juices towards my Halloween desktop, which is my favorite skin to create. [e digicons]\o/[/e] You know how some skins just seem to build themselves, and others are kind of an agonizing frustration? This one is an agonizing frustration. Something's just not right, and no mat

Oh...then I bet you don't have a bunch of stickers plastered over the edges of your bathroom mirror, either. [e digicons]XD[/e]

The little raptor dinosaur on the start menu? That's pretty realistic looking. Is that original work? If not, that might be the hold up; if it IS original, I bow to your greatness!

Don't be sorry. Somebody else in the future might have the same problem, can do a search for threads about, and then they'll find this one and know they need to reinstall!
It's definitely a window of some sort. I've never had that problem with SMX. Does that happen with every skin?
It's very clean, and the colors are pleasing, nice lines....but I would really like to see you challenge yourself a little more. You put out skins faster than most artists here, and don't get me wrong, they ARE quality skins, but I think if you spent more time trying different things, getting out of your comfort zone, you could create something that would make all of our jaws drop on the floor. If you're happy with this latest WIP, then I'm happy with it, because
Thanks, Dani. I appreciate your input and will heed your advice. [e digicons]k6[/e]
Thanks, Neil. I'll keep skinning them, then.
This is the exact reason that I asked Neil to give us a Windows 7 base skin in Skin Studio, (so I would know what doesn't need to be skinned for Windows 7--you know, with all the "not 7" items removed), but I guess I wasn't clear enough with my request.
I keep skinning the MDI buttons (Edit Controls-->Edit Menus and Menu Bars-->Menu Bar Items-->Min, Restore, Close buttons), but I don't ever see them during my work day. Is this another item that's gone the way of the dinosaur in Windows 7?
That's a really sweet looking DX, Jim. [e digicons]5*[/e] [e digicons]5*[/e] [e digicons]5*[/e] [e digicons]5*[/e] [e digicons]5*[/e]
What Mozart was to music, this guy is to BIC pens, let me tell ya! It's wonderful to know we live in a time where genius still pops up from time to time. [e digicons]\o/[/e]
It looks like the Aero default shadow showing through. In Skin Studio, you can make menus flat (thereby getting those nice blunted corners), but you have to click the "Hide Menu Shadow" in the extra settings tab.
Must be nice to know how to skin, wish I could enter, so sad.
There are tutorials here, and at the WinCustomize wiki page, not to mention a whole community of skinners who, if you post a question, will try their best to help you. I encourage you to begin your first attempt today. You might not be ready for this GUIC, but there will be other contests, and there are community projects that pop up from time to time.

Unless all updates go to moderation. Whatever...thanks for your help in trying to expedite it for me, Seth. I have to go to work now. Have a great day.

I guess I need to PM a moderator about getting it back into the galleries.
Can someone please explain to me what this is all about?
Yes, Seth -- I uploaded a Windowblind last night that I had named "Stardust" but apparently Stardock has a premium skin by the same name, so when people added it to their Windowblind list, it would get mixed in with the premium skin. So, I edited my uploads to change the name. Here's what the skin looks like: <img src="http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee
