BTW : Windows XP x64Edition, Vista, as well as alternate shells are not supported: here
Hi superman I'm happily running Ubericon on Xp sp.2 apart an antivirus + some stardock programs Ubericon it's one of the first applications I would install in a fresh system just after KO Approach I really don't think there are problems with Ubericon 1.0.4 maybe something else ! I also made an U Icon to celebrate Ubericon AW there are shareware programs making icon animations
WoW thanks for the mention Island Dog + thanks to the other skinners for their artworks !! [e digicons]|-)[/e] [e digicons][/e]

I'm glad it's all right !! [e digicons]|-)[/e]
as I said I wouldn't post any update about "clones" in this forum my intent was only to precise the reason why on the "Animated Shortcut" docklet page (RocketDock gallery) you will find "Created by AndreasV and frankell " just a pity that AndreasV and I will miss 48 thousand downloads on Wincustomize !! [e digicons];P[/e]
Yes for OK or ... AW for sure you can add a new docklet but which one ? maybe it's one not supported !
are you sure that the "Docklets" folder is the same of the other docklets appearing in your image ? did you restarted OD ?
right click anywhere on the dock > this dock > add ... hope this help ! [e digicons];)[/e]
this time I didn't post anything before on this forum as I reported directly to the RocketDock admins but the result is always the same they didn't delete the entry they only added " Created by ..." here is the point to clarify: the "good" nelsonedoardo15 ( BTW he also cloned part of the original presentation !!) uploaded in the same page as the "animated shortcut" docklet as 1 folder with 4 animated icons created by me so in the end the RocketDock admins added
thanks 2of3 ! this is a very simple animation: the throbber is coming with a pulsing effect (only 2 frames x 2 kb) ready for the upcoming FIREfox 3.1n Black pack
... sorry I forgot to remember that the previous examples are visible only on Firefox3 or Opera 9.5 ...
here is a resized preview (for upload limits) only 6 frames out of 10 below another APNG this one was created by DoeJohnDoe: any comment ??
True Scot I know I'm "true italian" so my English is not very good but I'll try to be very clear: 1) APNGs will never run on the animated shortcut, consider the APNG as a stack of single frames (or layers) one upon the other not an horizontal strip 2) the animated shortcut run only with the horizontal png strips, consider the horizontal strips as a magic trick by the docklet author + I'm sorry to say that the Mirrored Dock Image is not appear
hi True Scot ! APNG is an extension of the PNG format, adding support for animated images, the first frame on an APNG file is stored as a normal PNG stream, so the applications not ready to work with APNGs (as WindowsExplorer) will be able only to display the first frame, but XnView is an images viewer supporting APNGs you can browse all the image files and the APNG animations will automatically run: <a href="http://pagesperso-orange.fr/pie
No more the GIF limitations (only 256 colors \1 alpha channel with poor transparency support) now with the format AnimatedPNG (APNG) we have all the PNG quality going to replace all the GIF animations ... at the moment only browsing with Firefox 3 or Opera 9.5 (also on XnView and KSquirrel) AW we can run the APNGs locally as throbbers or splash screens or just for fun (drag&drop the file into an open page) The results are stunning the same as the a
hey hey True Scot I found the application fitting your needs: "GIF to APNG converter": http://sourceforge.net/projects/giftoapngconver + after a try I can say that it's really working !! [e digicons][/e] [e digicons][/e]
here I am with my first APNG uploaded on the ObjectDock gallery as part of the FIREfox3 Animated InColorsPack https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=15351&libid=29 best of all I discovered that it's perfectly working as splash screen on Firefox 3, just needed the addon Splash! https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2995 </
my pleasure ildperez ! [e digicons]|-)[/e]

Hey True Scot many thanks for the pints and don't give up ! when you don't have the original frames + you really want your png "rotating star" try also with GlueIt http://sysimage.250free.com/ ... or manually with the Photo Filtre feature Edit> Paste special> assemble..> right this is the way I personally prefer as when I create a new animated icon I don't have to save every single frame but I
sorry I didn't ansewered to the main question ! in very simple words the gif files are very poor respect the pngs (that's why the animated shortcut is a great docklet) so is not a good use to extract pngs from a gif file and then make them animated should be much better to use the originals frames + the AnimatedPNG (APNG) format was created for the same reason about the final result you can see only the first frame as the sequence is n
