Awhile ago I had purchased a master skin called Harmony. I've recently had to restore my computer and lost the skin. I wanted to see if there was a way for the skin download re emailed to me or someone let me know what steps I need to take to have this re downloaded.
I live in the not quite so great state of Minnesota. Yes I know in the winter it get cold and everything but these last 24 hours have been horrible. Yesterday (Monday) it finally warmed up from the single digits. It was 40F outside and I actually had a cig outside and felt like I could have been in a t-shirt. That night around midnight I went to have another smoke before I went to bed and it was around 30F. Now this morning I walked outside to -10F with 10-20mph winds making it feel around -35F
I dont get much of SkinStudio yet I'm just sort of trying things out and see how it work and everything. I get pretty confused on the whole 5 images per image and that changes all the different things (Hover, clicking etc...)Other then the importing of the image are there other adjustments that need to be done to align everything? if there are any tutorials for the basics thank would be great. Thanks for letting me use some of your work to get me on my feet.
Thanks for the reply vStyler. I tried that template but the button was just transparent. I own your skin 'Harmony" and wanted to ask if i could use some of the images from that as templates and to learn from. If not thats fine I totally respect the rights to your work.
I've been trying to work on a skin for awhile just learning as i go and need some help. For buttons and the mouse over background on the start menu are there sizes that have to be used on them? for the mouse over background I have a black boarder around it, but when i apply it the left side doesn't have the black line going down. Then for the buttons (Save, Cancel etc..) there isn't a boarder on the right side. Any ideas on why this would be? I have a screen shot of the start menu with mouse ove
I'm personally all for Sponsors... I think people think that someone sponsors us and the website is going to be covered in their logo. These sponsorships will be completely different then and ad. Look how advertisements are placed for non subscribers in the forums, right in the middle of everything and then on the FAR right of it you can see where the sponsorship would be. Ok I've downloaded the icon I'd like but I dont see the battery meter or connection dock in Objectdock... Is this only a feature with pro?
I use a laptop and in Vista on the Windows Taskbar by the time there is an icon that shows you wireless connection status. Does anyone know how to get that on to the ObjectDock? Maybe showing signal strength or just if its connected or not? Also the battery level on it would be a great help too. ObjectDock just doesnt look good with the taskbar below it but the taskbar also has a lot of things on it I look at.

Does anyone know of a way to configure ObjectDock to put a window you minimize onto the dock? So pretty much like a mac when it adds it to the far right and you click it to restore it.
Ok I've been trying to figure this out for awhile and have had no luck. On the mouse over background I have a 1px black boarder around the whole thing but when I apply it there is no line going down the left side of it. Is it doing this because I dont have a setting right? I currently have vStylers "Harmony" on my laptop for the theme and the main list of icons looks to be set over to the left farther... and it looks a lot better. Is it an adjustment on the start menu or will I get to that later
I think another big difference between ads and sponsorship is the placement and look of it. Ads steal your attention away from everything else and are usually placed right in the middle of everything so you cant avoid them. I'm guessing the look of the website will be slightly changed and the sponsors logo will have a set area that will go with the "flow" of the page. I think this would be a great idea and would help WC strengthen even more.
I've only got the start menu started none of the buttons or anything are changed yet either. Its pretty basic just wanted to put it up to see what everyone thinks so far. Positive and negative feedback welcome :) [img]http://www.phearx.net/images/startmenu.png[/img]

Yea in neighborhoods and city streets its fine, just the highways are not fun. Rear wheel drive is actually nice for corners in neighborhoods since I can just tap the gas and walk the rear end around the corner. I shouldn't have much to worry about though since Minnesota winters have gone downhill lately usually a good snow or two and thats it for the year. And Zubaz, its 23F right now with "Wintery Mix" doesn't that sound awesome :)

Driving in this pretty much sucked in my 1980 Chrysler Newport, no ABS, rear wheel drive and to top it all off my car is almost 20 feet long. How is the weather in other places around here?
Alright well I've got PS CS3, WB6 and I'm using the free version of SkinStudio until my funds update in PayPal so I can upgrade to OD. Would it be easy to use PS and pretty much make the task bar and start menu then slice it the same way you would for a website layout? And BTW I enjoy your work vStyler, currently I have Harmony as my vista theme nice work :CONGRAT:

I've always liked FireFox. I just like how it has a pretty basic look to it and it looks quite nice with Harmony as my Vista theme. :CONGRAT: vStyler
I've never attempted to make a skin for windows vista and have no idea what software to use or even how to begin. Anyone know of a tutorial for basics for skinning or a walkthrough? Any sort of help would be much appreciated!
