n3rull your comparing a vulkoras to 40 assailants 20 cruisers atleast come up with some decent numbers, even a marza cant deal with that vulkoras is the 2e cap ship i build for vasari, it's great for quickly taking down planets (i rlly didnt notice that bug.... atleast.. i did think on some occasions.. dam still not done?? but never imagined there'd be a bug like that) its phase missle swarm is also superb, deals quick damage, disintergratio
hm.. theres not a real solution for solving trolls only, or pirates only or any of that sort like kryo said, once privacy is gone its gone, and surely peoplewill try to "improve" the rule for their need, more tracking and being able to see and thus control what is going on, as soon as some "popular"guy is constnatly nagging you on a forum where everyone is behind him (friends) you'll just think... w/e fuck the guy ima move on (on most occasions anyways) hav
The fact that peer DRM hasn't been seriously implemented already implies that at some level, publishers don't consider piracy THAT big of an issue. Because if it were, then you'd have peer DRM already. [fast forward] People who don't make stuff tend to find ways to rationalize piracy. But the people who do make stuff will always have the upper hand. Even now, piracy is driving some genres of games off the PC and onto consoles which ar
I prefer games where I can make my own story, like X3 reunion, and games like Total war. If a game has a forced linear storyline, I don't play it, end of story.
good luck playing... your super-long game list then [e digicons]-_-[/e]
we need some sort of 2e ship supply, one that makes sure a single unit cannot be maxed at this time, whenever someone masses carriers, theres no way he can lose......... carriers just run away and bombers /fighters take out ALOT of enemy ships, then when ure finaly close enough,, he jumps out.... some sick dumb annoying, but especially dumb strategy theres little you can do about someone attacking you with masses of carriers... if it wouldve been masses of kodiaks, you c
i support piracy actually, not the whole of piracy, just a single tab of it, just like supporting the gaming industry, but hating a single company... (wich i do aswell) piracy is in most occasions just people who do not want to spend their money on a product.... kind of pathetic.... i do not support this type of scamming then you also have the pirates that crack games becuase they have games that just do not work, i support those people,
sins is definatly meant to be a multiplayer game, no campaign and predicatble AI's get the fun out of it pretty fast playing over LAN with friends is in my opinion the best mode.... just 4 friends playing 1v1v1v1 or 2 v 2, nothing et's more fun, unknowns in multiplayer leave once they think theyre dead anyways
some nice idea's yeah, specially the unlimited cap ship level, only thing that wont fit in atm would be Advent's progenitor ultimate ability (dont know name, never use it.. but do know what it does) namely, it transfers crew from a dead capship to a new one, so it hasnt lost a level (never actually seen it work tough......, it doesnt autocast a dieing ship, nor does manually work)
like stated many times already, the game has to be balanced, carrier still are to powerfull currently.... just try making carriers only in a multiplayer game, and move them away when enemy get's close, so happy that in 1.1 carriers will be made super-expensive..... as they should be, but the problem might still remain :/ as for naval tactics, theres no way you can compare naval warfare to space warfare,
good question... but i think entrechment is being released after 1.1, or perhaps entrenchment also contains the 1.1 :/?
99.99% NOT gonna buy it,
sigh* another pointless arguement 1 says this the other that, words are twisted people think they gotta say stuff even tough they dont know shit about the subject 1 space = a void, theres nothing, as far as we know.... an example of how it works (ofcourse you die in outer space... but, and theres no air to sneeze with but nvm that) if you float in space and you sneeze you pick up speed on the opposite direction,
there is no succesfull strategy that doesnt include aleast a few ships in the start... for the moment defenses are for aiding your defending fleet, not to actually hold a planet, i can just run past gauss turrets if i would have to...., so without ships u lose why get trade ports? do you play on a large or small map? why bother massing diciples if u can get a well balanced fleet with roughly the same cost, that is 10x more effective diciples must be seen as a utility fri
Yeah, I know the deal The publisher's name tends to stand out the most unfortunately.. Dead Space is better on console anyway. That kind of game just screams "Big screen HDTV!"
then get connect your pc to large monitor ;D, thing i like about pc games over console = that you can change stuff..... wich.. tough sometimes small... makes a huge differance
hmm problem in increasing cap ships starting fighters lies in balances, you'll get 3 fighter squadrons per capital ship... atleast all capital ships "but the carrier" will need some serious antifighter guns to make it even again (otherwise everyone starts with carriers) good idea.. but like i just said... other cap ships need some serious anti-fighter capability, whilst the carriers should get it minimum, .. #1 for increasing fighter popularity, and #2 to show
well, first everyone picked vasari.. for the imba RA , then they quickly moved on to advent, for it's "overpowered???" illuminators... guess now everyone will walk to TEC and get marza spam ...... it'll be a battle of who get;s the most marza lvl 6's ?
there's no "best" capital ship, it really depends on what you have cap ships alone are pretty useless as monk already said... but not to build at least 2 - 3 with a big fleet is asking for a beating even more then making caps ships only.... people often underestimate cap ships value.... they just think it being big it carries some big guns aswell, also why people make the mistake of building combat capital ships at start (only TEC should
dont spam bombers vs siege frigs, always keep armor types in mind, fighters do alot more damage vs lrf's, siege frigs and bombers whilst bombers are meant to take out most of the remainers
not everyone is kind enough to acknowledge a loss.. or even a win... i had this guy who insisted on playing a boredom game, me hunting him in a large map single star, didnt care rly for the first hour... but boy was i glad that minidump occured at his side after 2,5 hours of chasing him #2 had this 2 v 2 game, where my ally left after i took a middle asteroid wich i guess he also planned on taking, i knew 1 of the oponent and asked for a rematch, 1 of them replied with
hmmm im not familiar with crt monitors... but maybe... (a small maybe) did they add something in the beta? (1.095)
sigh... no furhter comments but a big sigh [e digicons]:typo:[/e]
just the fact that u have to pay to get a security code (that was meant for anti-piracy and not to make it more difficult for real customers...making customers pay AGAIN = the most dofficult thing i can give a customer.....) you just lost it..., and i cant believe it's so hard to enter another cd key .. if they'd atleast organize their copyprotection i.e. record purchased games and serials then there'd be no problem, and why they didnt do it?? well money ofcourse.... t
it is a good indea on its own.. but brings to many problems.... i doubt it could be "simply"implemented as you cannot turn a RTS into a TBS that works 100 the game is about constant thinking, if you had 1 turn to do certain moves for your empire your turn would last around 10 min (late game) ... whilst the game is about doing as much as possible in the least possible time.... not doing everything 100%
ai's ally to much:"/ the command works 25% of the time in singleplayer and works 90% in multiplayer.. since most of the games are locked anyways....
