"Period." is redundant. What about speed(not in battle probably) vs attack and armor? I like Jhengis Khan's Method.

How about a hellmouth (If we can get the rights from Joss Whedon)? If you get some blade on a quest, you can eventually find a hellmouth to open up and let loose the mayhem. Evil ones doing it to cause chaos against powerful kingdoms and goody goodies doing it at the last second right before my... erh Sauron's forces mutilate the ring fellows. Seems like the ascension crystal idea in galciv only one does get an instant win or even control over the beasts. Just a little odds evening for a slig
Research inflation is necessary and realistic. I constantly find myself up at night trying to justify how my people are literally developing a millenium of technology in about two years. I sometimes think of each area as a new quadrant with a sinlge colony ship sent by each race but that raises more questions than it answers. The technology might need to be refined or developed and that might take two years, but what about the obscene birth rates. Do my people have absolutely no moral
So I have been playing this darn game for a while now and I thought I'd share a little common wisdom to maybe keep things interesting for you that are bored with either playing metaverse (snooze) or spending hours remaking the whole game that you WILL NEVER FINISH. -Increase the logisitics tree to unholy numbers. I found that having immense fleets makes space battle so much more fun to watch. -Increase HP to counter balance a high logistics level. I usually do 1000% of the sta
But I would hope that opportunity cost would allow my magic to become fearfully superior.
I see you and I agree on many points young magicke. I look forward to playing with all of you... in september.
I wonder how economically viable raising the dead will be?
You sound old and outdated.
My is only that a taoist philosophy would negate all the elite training in the world of elemental. Guerilla tactics could potentially make your elites useless because a mage with weak minions can endow them with powerful spells for only a turn and then have them run and hide. Speed boosts, attack upgrades, demon summoning and then by your turn it all vanishes or is out of range of your pitifully slow elite spearmen. So when i lose units they are cheap but you lose your xp advantage and waste
Are there going to be quests that give me a hellmouth to open or some such thing? I like the ideas of major enemies popping up and changing the staus quo. Also, why not an army of angels? God sooooo much more scary than satan.
I for one don't want elites to have as much power as demiansky might be thinking of. In real life it only takes a man and a sword to kill another man. And beyond that if one side has two men and two swords, the victory is all but certain. Also you can count on me using magic to wipe out or charm your elites until you either rage quit or sign a disfavorable treaty.
Is there any possibility of using an autoresolve type component that would allow me to have assasin units capable of killing soveirgns or weakening large armies in an autoresolve battle? Best part of playing disciples is the thief aspect.
Shadow Tongue, What games can you think of that had a better AI developement than galciv 2? (friendly question because you make a good point, at least about TA)
I could go for that.
So I am going to mod this game up with some pretty great, and accurately named and depicted demons. I imagine I can build a whole tech tree or some such thing to facilitate such an idea. The great thing about this game is that if the devs dont build it, you can! [e digicons]}:)[/e] [e digicons]}:)[/e] [e digicons]}:)[/e]
[quote]3. I would like to see automatic upgrades have different options for their resolution. Example: Your House+1 gets upgraded automatically at no cost once the tech (and/or whatever other prereqs need be met) gets available IF you have also invested in Quick Building (or whatever you want to call something, be it a Governor or be it a Tech, which gets you that bonus), otherwise, they upgrade automatically AT COST X (cost might be reduced by other factors), and they take Y turns to upgrade
Why would i ever surrender? I am a guerilla warfare specialist. Units don't live past their usefulness, its a fact I've learned to accept. I think having a surrender option would go unused or just muck up people's early game strategies. I would need to see some example combat to be sure. I have been waiting to ask this very important question that many developers never think of, but im sure the old boys at StarDock already have decided. In a larger multiplay will everyone be able to watch the battles (ensuring prolonged interest for all players) or will it just be those near with a line of sight (realism). The former would make it much less likely that boredom will make others call it quits, whereas the latter would perhaps lend to the idea of players being able to do st
my mum's hatchbacks is an F1... I just wanted to let the elemental devs know that I've already gotten at least six of my old Might and Magic lan players to commit to buying or, in this economy where they don't get jobs, getting as a present from their parents ELWARMAG simply by showing them the dev journals in about five minutes. There have to be gamers out there that just don't know about this game but have wanted to play it since before it was conceived. It all c
My reality is different not flawed. Galciv2 has a better story than any other mentioned because I get to write it. Its user created and I am awesome, and not willing to let you in on the stories. [e digicons]:borg:[/e] [e digicons]:borg:[/e]
I have recently been studying the city of Novgorod in my Russian History course. It seems applicable to the subject here. Novgorod, or new city, was by far the most progressive and profound populous in euroupe during its time. Imagine a wholly democratic city-state, moreso than the sham of american democarcy, so that every peasant got a vote in every matter and facet of society. It defended Mongol-sieged Russia against the bastard teutonic knights, the illogical lithuanians and was even passe
I wonder how customizable this will be. I want my theocracy to function as church and school. God tells me how the world works and nothing more be known!
Whats really cool is you can have the rebel alliance only use tiny and medium sizes if you make them a new ship style!
This is why I bought TA. I agree the defences are weak, so mod them. It took me 30min to increase hit points and add defensive bonuses to the tech tree. 30 MINUTES! So dont be confused about balancing. Its up to the individual to tweak the game as he/she, lol, likes. I also deleted a few of the highest weapons to make the game more star trekkie. Its up to you. In my current game leveling ships matters. Researching hp matters. Getting early defences matters. Hull size matters.
I think Disciples 3 is only game i might consider getting before ElemWarMag. It is a game built by graphics artist that happen to be game developers too. But they have been working on it for like six years so it might come out in 2020 for all I know. Also stardock is as mentioned above more userbased content so that gives more replayability, I'm still trying to perfect the AI value of techs for galciv2 to get them to behave properly :)
