Logic_Wins
Sweet! Did they seem to like the game?
Logic
You know shod, i see why people think your a total douche bag now. By the way I head anny kicked your as at SINS? whats that all about?
I heard the fleet cap was o longer determined by planets, that changes alot right there as the need to expand is not so immidiate.
I have to disagree abou the targeting computer not being usefull early game. Youy only have a small handfull of ships, the TC ups dmg and causes you to less of them. Not saying that its not MORE usefull lategame, but so is just about any cap ship ability. (passive)
Also those extra planets early gam become early trade network with TEC which gives you a huge economical advantage by the time you hit mid-game. (4+ plnets and 3/3 labs)
So you dont think the targeting computer is usefull early game? Combine it with 10 cobalts, upgraded lasers...You're alot more effective aginst Pirates, and even more usefull when you start producing flaks.
It's just a game of SINS, Glad you two had fun.
Whats a "Strikeclass" fleet? Planet seiging? or more anti-ship Skirmisher type fridgates? Will advent follow the fridgate structure of vasari and tec? By fridgate structure I mean Scout, Generic, LRM, Seige, Skirmisher, Colony (and mabey 3 more classes that we haven't seen yet?) Also, and this Q is for anyon who cares to answer, Why are there Generic Class fridgates like the Cobalt when very early on you can unlock Skirmish class fridgates that completly obsolete the
I like the TEC's Tech Tree alot more then the Vasari's. However The V's have cooler lookin ships and I feel their capitols are stronger (just my opinion I may be wrong) The TEC's ships cost less but dont seem to be as strong, The flak fridgate in particular, the vasari's answer - the ravinasta skirmisher is a superior ship IMO And that particular catogory of ships (anti fridgate) is pretty important. Who has the range advantae in LRM call fridgates? Seems like the javilis but does a
I wrot up a Starting guide on the Beta Feedback thread (pg11or12) Yrlen looked over it and made some comments but it seemed to go over wel. Although its by no means a stratagy guide is a good way to set u during the first 15-20min of play. Whats with all this marza and sova talk? Don't you people take the battle cruiser as your irst cap? It does have the colonize ability along with the ion cannon and targeting computer. T me that seems the obvios first choice. Wepon that
Do you know if I'll be reciving any sort of manual or documentation PDF or other? I could live w/o the tech trees (although Id get them if it isnt too much givin Ive already paid 10$ more then the retail price) but I really do NEED a manual...
Hi, I was curious as how to tell if I ordered the Download only version or the CD Xtras version of SINS? I got it with tokens via TGN.. Is there a way to upgrade if I only have the DL version? when I ry to check in the store it just says "You have already purchased this product" With no hint as to what version I have. Id really like the box and tech trees. Thanks
yeah, we're always LANing it up in the bedroom.
Will the people who preorder for the beta get a box and manual?
I think like with most RTS that Iown it will be a 70/30 split in favor of SP.. Every once in awhile Ill go on line with whatever game Ive been playing and somtimes it will be just for one game, other times I crack out on the MP seen for a week or so, just depends on how well its done and how badly im getting whooped. Some RTS MP is very structured like, you have to know all the right build orders and map knowledge bla bla bla, like AOE3, if you dont spend time reading online about sucsefull str
So what about the people that are doing the BEta and have already preordered? Do we get a box? How about a manual? PDF at least?
One of the best features is the intuitive and personal "feel" of the game. Its functionality is unparalelled. Hard to explain....its just that everything does what it feels like it should do. It has all the options you want. After a few times is more of an experience then just playing game. Like when playing chess, are you really into moving the pieces and placing them on the board. Its the stratagy thats grabbing you. Thats how sins is, it's immersive. Your not worrying about what to pre
Yeah I think Ill be tryin out the advent first then heading to online...
I think if you moved below a gause cannon it would just shoot down. I think Z could better be used w/ ship to ship combat, like moving your LRM's high up so they get more distance and it takes longer for a skirmisher to reach them, or binging in a colony ship or seige fridgate low t try and slip passs a larger battle..
back on topic how does Z acsess movment actually effect combat?
Id like a hologram manual
Im an officer in the RTS union on GameSpot, I definatly have seen alot of buzz about sins latly. If you want to link me to a quick write up or somthing similer I can post in on our bulliten board an a hot upcoming new release, alot of members check that out to see whats new. I can get Screens from GS....just a thought. many members have asked about it and I know all the higher ups have it tracked and wishlisted
I think like civ, user mods could take this game a long ways,...hoppfully some official mods too...even if its nothng major, I think a "Heres an offcial scenario mod" type thing once in awhile would be greatly appreciated!
Will we be getting a manual with the final release? Pleasseee...
