I just wanted to add that you must watch when it comes to store warranties and rebates together. I purchased a new monitor from Newegg that had a $30.00 rebate. Of course you have to send the original UPC from the box. However if something goes wrong with the monitor during Newegg's return period you must also have the box including the UPC for them to honor the return. I opted to forgo the rebate in this instance, however I don't think the consumer should be put in this situation. My main

xscorpx, I think I really have to agree wih you. Since I have the option to uninstall this RC, I believe I'll do just that. Since I did this post, I have found that the update made my scanner useless. And as it's an older model, Canon won't be updating drivers. If I wanted to start buying hardware I'd have changed to Vista. Thanks for the links. I'll chick them out.
