That worked like a charm. I already had all versions of .NET installed, but evidently what you gave me fixed the .NET problem. I ran the fix, went right to SDC and every download that had been bulking duri

I'M A NEWBIE! I'm not sure I should even be posting here among a lot of the communities heavy weights, but I've read things here that I think are issues that many of the experienced and long time users have forgetten. Beginners aren't IDIOTS although we may be ignorant. Yes the market is changing, and with that change are more and more raw beginners wanting these products, and they are where the money will come from. I consider myself to be a moderately experienced computer USER. I'm not a
Yea Angus, that's what mine does too. Maybe we will get some tips on how to fix the problem here in the forum, if not, I'll start a support ticket on Monday & probably get a response on Tues. If you want I'll PM you the results of my inquiry.
Hey Duke, Sorry I hadn't replied but I've been down with the flu, and the last thing I wanted to do was be on the computer. I guess you've had no luck either. I've been experiencing another glitch off and on. Sometimes the cu

Well, I hadn't done an icon change after reinstalling CFX. You're right. Mine does the same thing. The cursor changes back just as you are loading. Didn't have to reinstall, just re-apply. Thanks for catching that Duke.

Good news! I had finally given up yesterday and uninstalled both XP&FX, after backing up all of my XP cursor themes. I cleaned out all traces that I could find, ran regedit, etc.. Well, I saw this article and thought I'd try again today. I have an FXPlus subscription so I got the download from support. During the first part of install it said it needed to uninstall a previous installation. Evidently I didn't get it all. After finalizing the install and NOT launching the program I went to C

I continue to have update problems with Window Blinds and Sound Packager. They both go through a download routine and then through the install phase and then the progress bar just keeps moving and nothing happens. The programs never update. Below is my sys info from WB: WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.02 (build 44 x86) WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC Your machine supports per pixel borders on Windo
So you just got the meat juices? You have a very valid point there....... Does it help if you rinse it off? lol Yeah, I've never been a fan of "just pick it off", either. Not quite right.
Sort of like the 5 second rule for the floor drop...rinsing and picking don't really help.

I'm having an issue when I've used cursors in either CursorFXPlus or CursorXPPlus. Only having one program or the other installed at a time seems to fix a lot of issues, but not this one. After applying a cursor and using it for a period of time, it suddenly starts having a life of it's own. It slowly moves all over the screen with no input from me. And when I do try to guide it, it won't let me pick on items. I will click Shift/Ctrl/c and it will usually go back to the default wind

I had CXP Plus installed & active at the time of the CFX Plus install. The CXP theme I was using is still active I think the problem people are having is CXP has to be uninstalled (save your themes first) before CFX is installed. I have CFX Plus running on 3 machines (Vista Ultimate,Vista Home Prem and XP Pro)and it runs flawlessly on all three. I dl a theme no matter if it's a .curxptheme or a .cursorfx file and click on the file I get a window that says: Theme copied in

Backed up my cursor themes, uninstalled both CFXPlus and CXPPlus, restarted, cleared all old folders and shortcuts and restarted again. Reinstalled CXPPlus and put my backed up themes in the themes folder and all is well with the world again. CXP for me, for now. By the way, I'm an XP user until they don't support it anymore, so I guess I really don't need CFX anyway. Nice looking product though.
I can confirm. Neither will self install during download. Neither will install using a doubleclick. To install .cursorfx I just manually move to the appropriate directory To install .curXPTheme I open in the "New Package" dialog and saveas .cursorfx then move to the appropriate directory.
Have done this. Files are in all of the proper locations but nothing shows up in the FX control panel. Would like to have a load package button like icon package

Call me ignorant but I can't figure this out. I download cursors from the FX page and they are .CurXPTheme extensions not .CursorFX extension. I had downloaded many cursor themes a month or more ago and extracted them into the FX themes folder. They have the .CursorFX extension, however not one theme shows in the FX control panel but the dozen or so that come with it. I just updated to the newest version today. Still no cursors. Please advise on this. Thanks much.
Any thoughts? As you figure stuff out . . add it to the wiki ? I wish I had more help to offer but while Stardock documentation has gotten so much better over the years their apps are so complex and (dare I say it?) customizable and their update cycle so fast that the internal documentation just can't keep up. Luckily, the community has stepped up to fill the gaps here in the forums, in IRC, a

Thany you Zubaz, HAPTORK, bilbo and Tiggs. Very helpful information and just what I was needing. Some of this is kind of confusing for a real newbie, and it's hard to locate the information in tuts or articles most of the time. Sure wish the help information was located together a bit more. I wish when I dl'ed OD there was a basic tut included that explained more basics about using SDC as a central installer, and some of the basics of file extraction or renaming of zips, etc. Any thoughts?
