Might be time to switch to Comodo's free software (I'm just waiting until the Anti-Virus leaves beta to switch from AVG Free). http://www.comodo.com/products/free_products.html
Comodo (free) has an excellent firewall. I believe still only no.2 under Online Armor's (paid) according to in-depth testing by Matousec. Avast (IMHO, and many reviews) is a superior AV program to Comodo's in the free software category. I have used NOD32 (paid) for 5 years and found it to be a s

For anyone interested. Two days ago I installed XP SP3 RC2. This if the final RC before public release. I have found it to be very stable and have noticed no performance degradation. Actually I have found no major changes yet. I did have to restart twice to get the installation to finish properly. Please, for anyone wanting to upgrade to SP3 RC2, or the final release for that matter be advised that any previous SP3 release installation must be

I've been working on my system security for years before I found what works well for me. I use a router with firewall, then use Online Armor + AV and firewall, it's the best firewall around (IMHO). NOD32 Anti-virus. The AV included with OA does not conflict with NOD32. I also use CounterSpy and SuperAntiSpyware. These are all paid programs. Comodo free firewall and Avast free AV are also exceptional programs. Layered protection is the only way to go, again (IMHO). I have found suites to b

I've been a WC member for a few months now and really love the community. I'm not a skinner but would like to try my hand at it soon. The forums are great. I've received a lot of help, gleaned a great deal of information and even tried to contribute where I'm able. I wish time and health allowed more daily time to participate more. I really just wanted to stop by here and thank all the old experienced hands who have aided me. You're a great bunch. :) :CONGRAT: Ed
The theme is for 1280 x 1024 make sure it fits your resolution.
Hey vStyler. I know you're very experienced at all of this. DX desktops are mostly useless to me, running at 1680x1050. Only resolution indepenent ones work. Do you think more desktops will start being made in this resolution or resolution independent?
The GIMP *can* be overwhelming. If you are familiar with Paintshop you can try GimpShop for a more consistant UI.
Duke, I agree with Zubaz. I have GimpShop loaded and it has a much better UI. Not as overwhelming as Photoshop but it has a lot of plug-ins, etc. They also have a community forum. You can Download here: http://www.gimpshop.com/download.shtml Good luck with your search for a product. I have the same problems with the cost of man

I did a post earlier in the month but had no responses. I don't have the major problems anymore with FX cursors floating all over by themselves, however I do have problems with many cursors being very jumpy, sometimes making it very hard to click on some smaller items. If I change over to Windows cursor the problem stops. Does anyone have an idea about what might cause this behavior?
