There are some timing events in the matchmaking code but none that involve when is it a good time to make a 1v1 or XvX match. But I have done the following for now to help reduce the number of 1v1 matches. 1) Increased the time interval that it tries to create a match from 4 seconds to 7 seconds. During each match making attemp a random throw is done to determine what map is used. By increasing this value the chances of getting the Crucible map decreases

Adding notes should be fixed. Let me know if you see any other problems.
Uhm, I was just matched up against an AI
Hmmm, The match making code is not adding the AI players. What I am guessing is happening is that a player is exiting and being replaced by an AI player. This can happen between the time that the Match is made (and handed off to the host) and the time the client joins the game. Because the Host (and potentially other clients) are already going into the "Launch Game" mode there is no turning back.
The community has spoken and once again Stardock has listened and taken action. As of today we have removed the adding of AI Players to a Pantheon tournament when there are not enough players to create a match. We have had much internal debate on this topic over the last few months and a decision has finally been made to remove AI Players from Pantheon tournament matches. This was largely due to the Demigod community's repeated requests for us to make this chang
It's official. There are now two less players who will be playing Demigod. And if we see more cheating going on there certainly will be more bans in the future.
I know it's obvious but people make mistakes, please make sure that your Caps lock is not on. Also, something else to try, you can logon with either your email address or your nickname. Give them both a try and see if one or the other works.
Hello Demigod Fans, I have some news to deliver. And depending on your point of view it could be either good or bad. We have just uncovered a major flaw in our calculation of experience points. And if you were not aware, it is the experience point system that drives Demigod's player rankings. So it's good news that we unconvered the bug. But it's bad news that this means the current ranking stats are pretty much useless. So because the current experie
Thanks for the bug report. We are looking into this problem but do not expect a fix until at least tomorrow or possibly later.
Pacov, Thanks for your work at trying to help uncover these problems. Please, lets keep this thread going for anyone who notices anomolies with stat tracking.
GPG has identified the problem and will be fixing it so a fix may be available in the next build. We have a pending update that doesnt include this fix yet so I dont want to say it will be in the "next" update.
RobWild, Unfortunately I cant really investigate the problem where the one game played didnt show up. But I would like to see who you are talking about with your two friends where the 5-0 player is ranked lower than the 1-4 player. Could you please let me know which two players you are referring too.
I took a look at the limited logs that we have and I was able to see that the data shows that everyone was connected right until the end of the game. When the host posted the data the data showed that everyone was disconnected, except the host. So my big question is did anything indicate to you that anyone had quit or was disconnected?
I know some of you are not in favor of us resetting the FavorPoints but because of earlier builds the favor point system was all messed up. Many people did not receive favor points they should have earned and some earned points they should not have. Because of this we felt that it was in the best interest of the masses to reset the favor points and put everyone back on an even playing field. Once you get your favor points back up and buy your favorite item you can g
I should also point out that we are working towards either replacing this player with an AI Player. After we have that code in then we will work towards replacing that player with a human player. This will take work from both GPG and Stardock so we are waiting until we have all the pieces put in.
This generally occurs when a player quits after the match has been created and all the players are awaiting to connect or load the map. So chances are a 2v2 match was created and one of the players quit before everyone was all the way in the game.
I feel like we have made some good progress this week in regards to finding a solving issues related to game stats not saving. So I am curious what your perspective is. From here on out, is anyone still playing games where the game stats are not being saved? If you have just played a game where the stats didnt save can you post some information about the game so I can try and find it in the logs. Let me know as much of the following data as possible. Ty
Here are the current official rules for favor points. 1) A game must last more than 5 minutes for Favor Points to be counted (All game types) 2) You must be connected when the game finishes for Favor Points to be counted (All game types) 3) There must be at least 1 human player on each team, at the start of the game, for Favor Points to be counted (Only Custom Games) And just to point out the obvious, if the game stats fail to save for some other r
Looks like we may have found the problem that is causing games to not be saving correctly on the server. It appears to stem from some invalid character data within the game for certain AI Players. And that invalid data is not interacting very well with the servers and causing errors to be thrown which then exits critical routines on the server that are needed in order to save the game correctly. GPG is looking at correcting the character data on their end and hope to have
Ok, this is not quite a developer journal as one would normally be posted. This is really more about enlisting the community to help us figure out why many games are not being saved/recorded on the Pantheon website. I've been doing some investigating by turning on additional logging on our data servers and sifting through thousands and thousands of pieces of data that are being sent to the server. By doing this I have been able to isolate the Reason as to why some game sta
Interesting that Pantheon and Instant Action games are listed as being version 1.00.55 while custome games are versioin MAIN.1.01.0139
That is the version of the ImpulseReactor.dll. We need to make sure people are playing the same version of the game. We used to check the Game Version. But because we started doing updates where only the ImpulseReactor.dll was updated we need to change that check. So we started injec
Let me give some information about favor points that may shead some light on the subject. Yes Favor points were broken in previous builds, but there were some major fixes a couple of builds ago that fixed most of the problems with favor points. So if you havent played much in the last week and are only looking at games from a month ago, then yes, you will see problems. But going forward Favor points should be working with the exception of a few rules.
There is a bug with the data that is being sent with the achievements. Because of this bug we are not currently recording achievements. However, we do expect the next build from GPG to fix this problem.
Frogboy seems to be about the only one making posts in the development journals so I figured I'd put my two cents in for once. Most of you are well aware that there are errors and bugs in the stats on the Pantheon website. So I will start out by saying that we are working on fixing the problems. However it has been a slow procress. As mentioned in other posts, the stat side of things sometimes takes awhile to get addressed because some of the developers require
Sorry for the delay. I finally had some spare time and was able to get the GC1 Metaverse working again. Happy Gaming!
