Nikki, I suspect that SDC is logging you on as one account and you are logging on to WC as another. Please drop me an email at [email protected] and I will look at your accounts when I get back in the office on Monday.
Install this version and then try again: http://storage.stardock.com/files/stardockcentral091.exe
Talking about the password. Look under Tools->Edit Stardock.net Account.
Just trying to get in a later message than Brad. ;) But I am sure it will be a futile attempt. ~SDC~
If you Pre-Ordered (beta tester) Galactic Civilizations it will be distributed via Stardock Central, electronic download. However, we will also have an option available for the beta testers to have an oem cd sent to them. You will just need to pay shipping & handling fees ($5 North America, $10 everywhere else). ~SDC~
Not at this time. If at some point we feel it is necessary to create a new discussion group then we will but right now we will just settle for just these two groups. ~SDC~
Purchasing a subscription to Drengin.net gives you access to the games via download only. ~SDC~
If you are using Stardock Central, right click on the GalCiv forum and choose the "Reset List" option. This will update your list of available discussion boards. You will see that we have added a new forum, GC Strategies. Non SDC Users, don't worry, we will get the website forum's updated within the next week or two so you will be able to see it as well. ~SDC~
Feel free to discuss galactic domination plans here! ~SDC~
Please make sure you have the option to check for updates on startup turned on. There is a new update of SDC available. The issue is that the previous builds did not require the usage of the password for logging on. But to proplery handle message board logins we need to add the usage of that password which we were not storing. So now you need to re-enter your pw, with the new build, and all should be happy. ~SDC~
If you go to the Tools Menu and open the Settings, what do you have set for "Check for New Messages" and "Check New Messages on Startup" on the Disccusion tab? ~SDC~
I think there was a routing problem for our ISP last night. I had troubles connecting to our servers from home for a good portion last night. Hopefully things a better now. ~SDC~
I would start out by reinstalling Stardock Central with the latest version to make sure that the files are all up to date. Download: http://storage.stardock.com/files/stardockcentral090.exe
Adsubtract is probably the problem. Read here: https://www.stardock.com/support/support.asp?product=55
Stardock Central is a replacement for the Object Desktop Component Manager and the Drengin Game Manager plus more. You still must purchase the appropriate networks or application in order to gain access to them. Otherwise you will only have access to the shareware versions of the software.
Stardock Central is coming along nicely. With the addition of browsing messages boards on WinCustomize and Galciv.com really helps wrap the package up. Its reached a feature complete stage (for a 1.0 release). So this next week or two we will be working on cleaning up any loose ends then we should be ready to release it. Items fixed in this build: Ver: 0.90.104 3/6/2003 ------- We know the large DPI is still not happy. Should be addressed in the n
I don't view it as changing an artists work. I look at is as, adding to it. Lets take for example a painting. I have a canvass painting by an artist. The artist is no where around. At the time of the painting there we no such things as Frames. I want to Frame the painting to make it complete. Would it be wrong for me to place the painting in a frame? I don't think it would be. I'm all for this new system with an opt out method.
Ande, There actually was a problem in the previous version in the way it was saving version info to the registry. That has been fixed in this build. Because of that previous problem some applications may appear to be uninstalled. If you install something with this new version and it still says there is an update. Then let us know that. Otherwise it may be related to an older bug.

Its a single component manager for all our products wrapped into one utility that also has browsing and chat support. If you wish to try the beta of Stardock Central you can download it from: https://www.stardock.com/files/StardockCentral080.exe
