Jeff, I have sent you a private email.

TJL1, Yes, the default for SDC is to use IE's settings, which is the standard.. If necessary you can also configure SDC to explicity use specific settings. But in the case of Proximtron, it needs to be configured to trust our servers. mrpepsi, Just to verify, use this link to have your password sent to you. Then using that information go into "Edit Stardock.net Account" and re-enter your email and password.
atholbrose, You need to configure proximitron to accept(trust) sdcentral.stardock.com and sdcentral2.stardock.com
BatBird, If there is a gc1.xml in your program files\stardock\sdcentral\installed directory you should be able to just click install again on GalCiv without having it to redownload the files. Doing that will SDC will realize that Galciv is installed and then set the necessary registry keys so SDC remembers that it is installed.
If its the discussion button, as a work around try deleting your discussion.ini file and also in your dicussion directory delete the wincustomize.ini file. Or better yet. Back them up first. And if you are then able to click on the WinCustomize discussion button send us those files so we can see what is causing the crash.
Resume is not currentlly supported in the Download and Archive option. Resume should work for when you click the "Intall" button to do a download and install.
Could you give us some more information. Why can't you download the game? Do you get any errors? Are you downloading the BonusPak through Stardock Central or are you downloading it through the website. The main game is only available through Stardock Central. Visit this link for a quick start guide on using Stardock Central: http://www.galciv.com/sdgc/
Its actually a proximitron issue. Proximitron appends javascript code to the beginning of all data transferred via http. Thus this breaks our data. Read more: http://www.stardock.com/support/support.asp?product=55 ~SDC~
Actually its a Proximotron issue. It edits the incoming data. Here is information from our FAQ. http://www.stardock.com/support/support.asp?product=55 Stardock Central fails to register my Stardock.net account and I am using AdSubtract or Proxomitron. AdSubtract modifies the incoming data. By doing this they are corrupting the data that is being received by SDCentral. To correct this problem configure AdSubtract to not filter our servers: In AdSubtract, on t
Joe, or anyone else having the same problem as joe. Can you please export your HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\ComponentManager registry key and send it to me. I think there is something in registry that is causing the problem.
George, Under the tools menu you should have a "Edit Stardock.net Account" option. If you do not, then you are using an old build and need to upgrade. Here's the link to the most current build: http://storage.stardock.com/files/stardockcentralrc1.exe
cmeisman, if you have only purchased Drengin.net then you should only have access to the games in Drengin.net (GalCiv, Lightweight Ninja, Corporate Machine, Stellar Frontier). You should be other products we have on the other tabs. But you should only be able to see the shareware versions of them.
Yes, while I am woring about servers I am also working on them too. Should be back online now.
Is your GalCiv Serial Number still listed under the Drengin.net registration? If so, remove the Galciv Serial from Drengin and click update.
Download Speeds Slow? Read Below: Ok, a second server is ready for GalCciv in Stardock Central. You maybe need to either restart SDCentral or do a Refresh Application data in order to see it. Go to Tools->Settings. And in the settings dialog go to the Connection Tab. US - California is the new server and should be less congested. At this time, only GalCiv is on this server. Other stardock apps are in the process of being copied to this server. ~SDC~
Also, just to make sure, under the tools menu do a "Refresh Application Data". ~SDC~
Try deleting your Discussion.ini and restart SDC. Thay may fix it. ~SDC~
I think we need to get this one going first. :) ~SDC~
NOTICE: Please try Refreshing Application Data . It appears SDC is not properly auto fetching the data files. I think this will clear up many of the install issues.
Also, if you right click on the App there is the option to "Download and Archive". This will download the file and automatically archive the full download. It does not install. Then you can restore that archive you downloaded to installed.
In preperation for the release of GalCiv on the 26th the Metaverse scores have been reset.
You gotta learn to keep up!
