Actually no. It was put in there for testing purposes. Unfortunately due to a power outage I was unable to remove it before the new SkinBrowser went out.

"But it's true, i like very much some skins that are poor rated, and i don't understand some "10" rattings". Thats because ratings are opinions. Not everyone will have the same opinion. Opinions of the people who use the skins. Opinions of the people who use the site and skins. A general opinion. Not an exact science. Art is not a science. It is subjective. Ratings are just one way of gaging. Downloads are another. Comments are another. An artists name is another. A scre

"The download count is already there as an indicator to popular skins. " Download counts are not accurate either. To first determine if a skin is decent you may need to download it. (Screenshot alone does not tell all). So you could take Adni or Treetog, they could make a horrible skin yet it would most like get thousands upon thousands of downloads. Does that make it a good skin. No. Ratings are another way to measure a skin based on the opinions of other people who have used the s

Everyone is paranoid and think that everyone is out to get them. When in reality it appears to be a bug in the system. It appears there is a bug when the submission is moderated that sometimes the admin rating is placed in the rating table and sometimes its not. If it failed to get put into the rating table and someone comes along and rates it a 1 or a 3 then the submission takes on that rating because there are no other ratings to average it in. I will try and get that fixed as soon

Sorry, I'm not in favor of that. I've seen it abused so much. Someone posts something derogatory, then someone else comes in posting something back about that person, then the first one deletes his message making the second guy look like he started it.

Our moderators do try to send emails when they moderate a skin. But its not a written policy that they must do so. Things get a bit busy at times so its possible that someone didn't send an email due to time restraints.

There is a difference between a suite and a theme. A Theme contains the actual skin files them selves. This should only be done by the author. However, a suite is essentially links to the skins. So the original author will always have their name attached to their skins. My suggestion is that if you are going to create a suite that only contains skins by a single author then don't do it. Leave it up to the author to do it or write to the author and ask permission. The sui

Hmmm, just looked and I don't see them around. My only guess is that one of the admins moderated them. Since they didn't drop you a note I don't know what the issues were. You can always try again.

Here is another thought. Even though we are not selling the skins it is believed that we are profiting from the usage of copyrighted material. The same cane be said for every site out that that host skins as well as banner ads or popup ads or sell subscriptions or any product on the site. Those sites also are profiting from hosting copyrighted material. If the likes of JAFO2 are going to have a problem with use restricting bandwidth usage because we have questionable copyrighted material on

I would like to make a few comments here. JAFO2 did not logon to steal or to mimic jafo's account. he had logged on quite some time ago as JAF0 with a zero and not an 'o'. JAF-0 if you will. There was no intent to harm Jafo. But to prevent confusion his name was changed my me to be JAF02. He had not been active on the message boards so it was not a problem. Unfortunately his recent comments here caused a bit of commotion. This person meant no disrespect to our Jafo. But s

Metaverse Rankings are now available. While the metaverse is very young at this point it will undergo many refinements during the course of development. But to view rankings just click on the Metaverse button at the top of the page. (Sorry I cleared out old scores, some of which were test data)
