Unfortunately SE is not part of my project. So I have to admit when it comes to Smart Exception I really don't know anything. Please drop an email to Kris at [email protected] for SmartException/MCP support.
Javier, Are you behind a firewall? When the DGM does manage to load be sure to goto Options and turn on the 'Show Betas' option. Also, try running loader.exe with the /d parameter. When you receive a crash please send me the debug.err file that is located in the drengin.net directory and give me an explanation of the error.
The server has been getting hit hard the last few days. We are almost always maxed on bandwidth. About 16 hours of the day we are at our limit. And the server process just gets over burdoned at times the server just can't handle it. Tomorrow I'm going to do a test with the libraries to see if I can relieve some of the server load.
Here, I will just make it available for everyone. https://www.wincustomize.com/wcmag/wcmag_7_2002.html
Here. I'll just make the Magazine available to all: https://www.wincustomize.com/wcmag/wcmag_5_2002.html
Oh as far as the scoring mechanism. Within the game itself...Don't know the answer to that one. You will need to consult Frogboy on that one. But I do believe that you get higher scores for playing larger and more difficult games. As far as the score on the metaverse, its a calculated average of your scores. I can't give out the formula at this time. Will need to get permission first.
Solitair, Can you export your registry key for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net and send it to both me and BoogieBac ([email protected] and [email protected]). BTW, I will work on correcting your current submission so it shows in the metaverse (tomorrow). Its a real good score!
Yes Jack, I did fix the problem. So the scores you are seeing now are correct. For people who have only 1 game submitted you will not see a difference but for people who have multiple games submitted will be different.
Ooops, I just realized that I was displaying the wrong value in the Metaverse for the score. Instead of showing the calculated overall score I was showing the sum of all scores.
Have you registered your PlayerName with your GalCiv.com account? If not, your scores will not show up on the metaverse. Upon submitting your scores, your score is saved regardless if you registered the player or not. So as soon as your register your scores will show up if they are there. (Register: http://www.galciv.com/playerreg.asp) Also, if you do not have DGM 0.66a (0.66.74 build) then its possible your scores will not get submitted because registry changes where made i
Currently WinCustomize.com and GalCiv.com share the same server. WinCustomize.com due to its popularity has been over loading the server at times. There was some problems with this weekend and I suspect those problems also affected this site. We are working on some measures to correct the problem.
Please run drengin.exe with the /d parameter and send me the debug.err file
Could you please run drengin.exe with the /d paramater and send me the debug.err file
Anyone who is getting the run time error 13 error as described above....can you please download http://www.drengin.net/temp/drengin.zip Replace your drengin.exe file with the one in the zip file, run it with the /d parameter and then send me the debug.err file. Thanks
You can delete the discussion.ini file and it will refetch a list of messages but do to the number of posts its limited to only fetching the last 100 posts.
I've said it before to my friends, if the record companies would start selling individual songs for a small fee of something like $2 each I think that would find a rather nice new market. Digitally sign the files of some sort to prevent casual pirating. Die hard hackers/pirates are still going to get the files regardless of what you do. So make it real simple and a good price and they will probably have a flood of new revenue. I personally don't buy too much music any more. I think we have

Not dreaming. We have been experimenting with the libraries and closing certain parts of it off depending on your access levels. At one point the entire library was closed off for everyone accept those who are apprentices or higher or who are user level 3 or 4.
We have fixed the errors with MCP Server. However its not actually part of the DGM and we do not have the functionality built into it to auto update the MCP Server yet. So as soon as we have a new build of DGM available the MCP errors should go away.
Stardock products are limited to installs on two machines. So installing it multiple times one a single machine is not a problem.
I've tried catching up on all the DGM errors but I'm sure I have missed some. So if anyone is still experiencing any errors related to the Drengin Game Manager please post them here. Actually first I suggest downloading and installing the latest version 0.66a (Build 0.66.74) which can be downloaded from: http://storage.stardock.com/files/dgm_066a.exe If you are still experiencing problems please post them here.
The DGM is supposed to be self updating but the previous builds had a bug in the auto update code so its possible it would not auto update. Hopefully it will work correctly from this point on.
Try downloading the latest DGM: http://storage.stardock.com/files/dgm_066a.exe
"I still can't seem to get anything to post to the Metaverse." What version of DGM do you have?
