Yes I went to the game and put it on normal and had all the civs with normal difficulty did reasonably well until game crashed on the laptop I was using. Sigh. Understand most of it now except the economics that is still difficult to figure out.
I realize the first game is old as dirt and many have moved on to the second but according to the poll at least many still find the first game fun...is their a more active galciv forum than this one? I haven't been able to find one so far...thanks!
So I installed the latest patch version 1.02 I believe after I installed my ultimate edition and it said the change file would be listed in something called history.txt. Ok this makes sense except I can't find this file...any ideas? The update seemed to go smoothly no errors or anything.
Question: I posted this elsewhere but I thought I would post here as well in case my other post got lost. Is there a mod that adds a civlopedia function, something where you can see what various techs do and what the various ships and social abilities do? Also is there a training campagin that anyone has made? Bought the game with the expansion pack and started on the altarian prophecy campagin and I am getting my butt kicked on the first mission....should I just start playing the normal game
Ok just picked up the ultra edition and wow this game is complicated, more so than civilization really. I love it but wow. General questions. 1. Is there anywhere else people who play the game usualy post? I really don't like the forum structure here... 2. I have found the tech and project trees very helpful along with the fag that gives the actual info about what the projects actually do anything else I should download and read to get a good idea of how the game works...man
