I'd like to see recognizable debris from destroyed capital ships and starbases. Few Vasari Caps have these, but it'd be nice to see this from other ships too, and especially starbases! It makes no sense that a gigantic construction like that vaporizes entirely [e digicons]:S[/e]

Capital ships aren't supposed to be a one-ship fleet, they support, and need support of the fleet, in which case there should be flak frigates and fighters already with them, also a Cap of each race has powerfull anti SC ability, which with proper micro is devastating. Besides (i may be mistaken on this) Capital Ships are limited by hardcoding to three weapon systems, all of which are used by all Caps, so this necesseraly isn't as easily implemented as you think. Nice job with the representat

AFAIK the only possibility of returning to an earlier version is if you've made a back-up of sins with that version, since Impulse only has the latest version available. Last standalone patch was 1.05, after that all patches have come through Impulse.

I don't. Luckily MY 1.14 Update screwed something up and it still has the old Cobalt sound, so i can replace the new with the old ones. But i do like the new Ogrov sounds [e digicons][/e]

Planets maximum loyalty depends on it's distance from your capital planet. If you hover your mouse over the loyalty percentage, you can see the planets distance from your capital planet, and maximum loyalty (that includes the 10% attainable with culture). 25% is minimum, that can rise to 35 with culture (yours or your ally's). On larger maps you have to relocate your capital to rise loyalty on border worlds. Also enemy culture lowers your planet loyalty.

That ability combined with the Deliverance Engine is a handy remote recoinnasance tool. One question, does friendly culture also give your ships your race specific bonus?

You have to destroy all enemy planets, currently there are no other victory conditions. The AI can give up, though, if it sees the situation hopeless, usually when it has only few colonies left. The research tree has two different branches, civilian and military (also defence if you have the Entrenchment beta), also fleet supply must be researched from the same place. You can set research speed lower when creating a game if you think you get them too fast.

You'd win that bet [e digicons][/e] Nothing is confirmed, but some IC guys have said that a campaign is coming. Maybe in the 3rd mini expansion?

Let me confirm this, before wasting time with this slow connection, the Beta 3 is version 0.94.016? Edit: or i could have checked the date on the next line.. [e digicons]:-"[/e]

I still play Doom1, released 16 years ago [e digicons][/e] The sourceports like ZDoom make it work perfectly wiht modern OS's, and JDoom (a.k.a. Doomsday engine) allows 3d models and (nearly) photorealistic textures, so games lifetime is really limited only by the devotion of the fanbase.

What i loved in Homeworld was when you traveled towards the core of the galaxy, the more colorful the skyboxes became. Kharak system, and the Great Wasteland were dark, but as you approached the Core and Hiigara, it became very bright. Also the Balcora in HomeWorld 2 was beutiful, with the unhindered view to the Core. On topic, it depends when i'm playing the game. If i play in dark, i have the coloured skyboxes on for better looks, if i play during the day, i have them off to s

I've been playing since release date, and haven't beaten a Hard AI, but i haven't really tried either. I play to have fun, and as someone commented multiplayer: "it's not about fun, it's about winning". Of course a human is a better opponent than an AI, and even more valuable as an ally, but playing against AI's have their advantages. But this thread isn't about SP vs MP, this is about what new features we want to see in the next expansions, and i suppose theres still time to get litt

Just yesterday, i assaulted an Argonev starbase that had 2 bomber and fighter squadrons, over 10,000 HP with beams and missiles, so they do upgrade them atleaest to some extent. This was at an enemy homeworld, though, rest of the SB's in the system were less upgraded. (Systems of War map)

I've noticed this too, AI builds a lot of starbases, but doesn't upgrade them too quickly. Also it seems that the size of the AI fleets has dropped since Entrenchment, but they seem to act more smartly. As you said, the AI doesn't take the starbase into consideration in their "Run Away Screaming Like a Little Girl" routine, which makes killing them with Torpedo Cruisers easy. Another thing is that they don't seem make use of the Torpedo Cruisers range when attacking my Starbases

Well, sins doesn't really need rotating turrets anyway, the firing animations on capital ships look plausible enough as they are (Kol's side guns look abit wierd occasionally though) and frigates only fire straight ahead anyway. Just something i've wondered.
