I agree, the core of this game is incredible, but no campain (which I can handle) and THEN, the way the game ends reguardless if you win or lose (a finger painting of celebrating russians) pops up suddenly after 2-10 hours of play, is a big let-down. I too wish there was a resign/surrender button; a nice version of tipping over your king in chess. I wish the computer offered surrender when you have 90% of the galaxy, and there is nothing left but 45 minutes of mop-up. Maybe

I had this simular problem with Supreme Commander; you've got a really deep game, with many people who've been playing it since it conception (beta). Then come all the new player base, and when they collide, it's usually not pretty. My first MP game of Sin, I hosted and wrote "noob only please". When the guy came in, I ask if he was a noob, he said yes, then "go go go". I had too many of that type with SC, and was ready from so much skirmish. Had a cap ship with 6 frigs when he ru
I'm learning how to use the Empire Tree more and more each game to help me do things easier. But what I'm confused about is pinning; specifically, ALL I want to show most the time is my Shipyards, so I can quickly click on them and give build orders or waypoints, but, even if I pin them, I can't get rid of ALL the other tons of stuff listed; like builder ships, metal mines, ect. In fact, I see no difference when they are pinned or not, they still show or don't show on the tree jus
First, same here (NO MODS). Just the retail copy, and v 1.2. And your right BlkSheep, thinking back after we read your post, we recalled that any time we moved a fleet to another planet or star, the lock-up happens. And again, your right, it only happened MP, never has happened in any of my solo games. This remindes me when we all got HoMM5, and when we played MP, sometimes the maps would suddenly be different from each other; and when any of our armies met on one computer (but not o
I'd like some kind of icon on cap ships that have 1 or more experiance points to use on them. Right now, I end up clicking on them 1 by 1 every 5 minutes to see if they have gone up a lvl. Also, being able to preset where there points go in advance (simular to the tech screen) would be nice, cause I usually know in advance where I want most or all points to go. A fleet toggle to "focus fire" or "choose best target" would be nice. On the planet upgrade icons (along with Log an
Well I'm a bit confused: Only played about 7 games so far, but not on large maps, and it seems to me, on large/huge maps, your just asking for most players to max out tech, and get superweapons, but more importantly, they break the turtle/stalemates. I know when my opponent has them early, due to scouting and other Advent abilities, which also lets me know he's used a lot of resouses and tactical slots to do so, making attacking him more imparative. Just like in Star Wars, if you know
Please: There has to be some minor but important tweaks to the planet upgrade buttons/icon. As it is, I have to constantly click on each one to look "inside" to see how far/many upgrades I've done, and more importantly, what more I can do. There just has to be something like "0/3" on the icon (3 possible upgrades, zero purchased). Or, maybe some little white dots, that turn black with each upgrade you do. You should be able to see how many upgrades have been done, and if there are still poss
We are having the EXACT same problem. I got one of my friends to come over to try this great game. We played a 1v1 via Lan on a small random map. He was really starting to like the game, when the crashes came. Luckily, I was saving the game every 15 minutes or so, so we just reloaded. But, each time we reloaded the game, one or the other of us would lock-up; and I when I say lock-up, I mean that we had to restart both computers. I read almost identical posts in other threads. So
