Welcome! Given your attitude, you are well on the path already. You are much more inclined to get help if your seen as someone that can appreciate it. Looks like that's the case, since several top notch players are already willing to coach. Of late (post Diplo), there has been a more coherent community-wide effort to retain and develop a stronger player base. At least by in large so as not alienate, or ostracize newcomers. Ruby and others have taken up th
I haven't played Homeworld 2, but if its anything like other Homeworld games you have much fewer ships flying around. Sins engine is good, but its meant to have as many things in the game as possible. And for that you need to make some sacrifices, from fighters not having shields to static turrets. And I'm totally happy with that trade off. From the screenshots I've seen I don't think HW2 looks that good compared to Sins, at least

Boshimi and Iskatu have been on these last two weekends. And of course Zombie is usually on steam, so maybe 30% chance he'd respond. Should be enough for a small game. Not sure if that would really help my competitive play as much as fighting for my life against Bags or Ekko and getting yelled at by JakeMac the whole tim

Women are the stronger sex, all of them make up the Master Race . If you have lived any life at all, you know this. It is said that we live in a world were there is only one genetically superior being, and males are the sub-humans.

Maybe a "companion thread". This way you could edit the poll as new candidates came up, and then evaluate the feedback, and add up the input. Folks could still request or

Correction. It is not your desire in multiplayer. Most people play a game for fun. And nothing else. A human opponent tends to more fun far various reason including being more inte

Admittedly, there is a philosophical point to whether you would engage in such monumental clashes just to see how it all shakes out, or accept the reality that those types of conflicts would almost never happen in a purely Multiplayer contest. Primarily because no successful scenarios exist where non-aggression by opponents, allowing the build up massive armada type fleets, leads to anything but 4 hour type games. This is not the desire of Multiplayer since the entire premise of h

What is happening is the Advent are really a lesbian race, and their culture weapon is known as the Gay Ray. Once it hits, there is a chance-to-cruise roll that determines the strength of the effect. All across the affected planet, a coming out phenomenon spreads and results in a gay pride movement at varying speeds.
You mean combat on the "Z" axis. Z axis movement is already in Sins 1, but not really implemented very well for combat. How cool would it be to be able to track different grav wells in addition to a separate empire tree interface in another monitor?

Yes, SoSE is inevitable imo. In SoSE "2", we need to see the Z axis integrated into the scheme of tactical deployment. This single aspect could introduce an entire new dimension (pardon the pun) to the game dynamics, especially in the following manners: The Z axis would really come into play in larger grav-wells, say "super grav-wells" at strategic choke points. These super-wells could be the size of a star, and incorporate 2 or 3 collapsing spherical "boundaries"

Been getting a lot of feedback as to multiplayers not contributing because they don't want to "give out their secrets". I think this attitude is contrary to any true competitive players desire for better games. By embracing the less-skilled, and helping players improve, we will automatically expand and elevate the quality of gamesmanship, and the community as a whole. This undoubtedly is the single most important aspect of any game community, but it is one that S

Interesting to see no one is weighing in on Wail changes. I suppose shock hasn't worn off yet [e digicons]:waaaa:[/e] All adjacent planets being affected regardless of ownership is a huge tactical revision, and will cause a new trend in adopting AR play styles. The fact that wail had gotten to the point of being universally banned is a testament to how dynamically an impact it had on some games, but now perhaps it can
