As far as energy goes. Fusion (not splicing) at room temperatures is becoming more and more feasible. Fusion not giving any reactive waste products as opposed to nuclear waste, gives for a whole lotta energy. To read about the part where they come close to fusion power @ room temperature, check [link="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fusion_power#Other_approaches"]here[/link]. So let's say in about 50-100 years this is already implementable. That leaves travel. Travel o

One thing that maybe happening is, once you have 35%, you have a bit of allegiance, but you can only commence a cease-fire at about 50%. If you are in combat with said foe, and you are attacking his ships, allegiance will drop to 0%. I have had the diplomacy window open and seen it drop from 35 to 0 realtime. At the moment i'm playing a random huge map. And with a foe about 2 stars away from me, but with 2 completed missions, i get 60% allegiance, more than enough for

I made a post myself also about the buttons not doing anything (aside from give X resource for 25% allegiance quests). They should do something for ya too without the quests. Especially if you pump a freakin 20k into an AI. Thank you?? Yeah, I bet..... At least in the beginning you should be able to lower penalty for certain quest by giving resources. I also agree with the diplomacy. It's a great great aspect of the game, so why not develop it more. i sure hope they

The thing is what i think i'm seeing here, is a view point solely in regards to AI. Making PJI's more buffed so AI can't retreat as easily rather than preventing them from pushing further into your system. As to locking phase lanes, in any which way, even if you have 1 on either friendly planet and what not, i say: NEVER!! Try seeing this from your own point of view. You're going to attack an enemy, you don't want to spend a lot of time on a choke point, but want to push in

i started a 2vs2 game, me with 1 CPU same team (unlocked teams) and 2 CPU opponents. After a while, with failing some quests (as usual), my teamed CPU breaks alliance. So now it's a free for all. Yet, on my One and only choke point (since i can't seem to advance any further), something odd seems to happen. I have 2 capitol ships, and a nice fleet to support them, defenses maxxed on the dead asteroid. Yet when i try to venture outwards into spa

The savegames and Screenshots are to tucked away by my opinion. I have hidden folders turned off, and it still took me 10 minutes to find the folder (as windows search didn't do all to much for me either). Also, what i find very annoying, you can't delete Savegames or autosaves from within the game. This is especially bad for the auto saves, as they just keep piling up and piling up. Okay, modern HDD are getting bigger, but my main partition is still always about 1

Thanks for your reply. I haven't looked into the "locked teams" yet, so I'll try that ASAP. Ignorance on my part then. And i chuckled on your "flip the bird" button :P On the other hand I'll try and have some scouts handy to look into the matter if an enemy has civilian ships if i get that message/quest to identify if a bug is present or not. Still hope a dev looks into the matter of advanced diplomacy. I still (even in unlocked teams) want to hav

So i guess i'm a total freakin noob at this game, but i can appreciate what you're trying to do. My last RTS i'm playing is SupCom: Forged Aliance, and i'm beating cheater AI's, so that's no fun. Yet this game, on easy, seems to hand my ass to me. Okay so i need to get a feel for it, develop strategies, plot what tech to upgrade first. Decide to fortify of expand. i played an easy game being TEC, and actually won my 2nd game, after 7 hours. Now i'm playing Vasari,
