I'm hoping that Demigod can jump into the support modle of SINS, meaning that we can get a bunch of updates, everybody is happy, then we can get some even larger bags of goodies in the form of inexpensive expansions once or twice a year! That would make me a happy camper! Have to mention I've been quite happy with impulse too, and have been picking up several older titles like Heroes V Tribes of the East cheap after I could not longer get them off the st

The catch is if GPG made Demigod for a single processor it would get slammed for not having up to date graphics. It sucks to upgrade all the time, but it is cheaper now then ever before. I still remember paying 1200 bucks for my first computer so it could have all four colors! Yeah I'm an old guy! [e digicons][/e]
Very happy with the balance so far! An upgraded Starbase still can't stop a well balanced fleet. They can however generally survive if you have a response fleet within a reasonable distance. Also people with too many assault ships pay the price when they have to run away. Always build interdictors!
My suggesstion would be to make mines an option you can toggle just like pirates. Just too much micromanagement for me, with out adding a lot to the fun.
One quick suggestion I would like to make for Entrenchment would be to toggle "Off" mines in the game options. (Just like Pirates) For myself it doesn't add much to the enjoyment factor of the game. Still love the Starbases and other additions though!
Great work to get a patch out so quickly, can you please note in the log as to whether saved games will still work? (with previous version) In case I have a great game going I may wish to wait to finish before patching if it will cause problems with the save. Many Thanks!!
The next expansion I would love to see would include Hereos. The would have levels like the Cap ships and give you bonuses to systems or fleets depending on their type. If anyone remembers Master of Orion 2, something similar would be Great!
It turns out there is a problem with Impulse, where if you order two pieces of software and one is not the same status, they will hold the whole order. Here is from the message they sent me. "One of the items in your order is not yet available so it is a preorder. Your entire order will not be charged until that item is released, and you will receive registration information for everything via email
My ticket number is FUV-974891
I did receive a ticket # and it has yet to be updated, I have been checking it.
Demigod has been released in Beta form for people who have pre-bought the software. Even if I just had an Icon in impulse right now showing I had bought something, that would be something.
I ordered Demigod and the new Entrenchment from Impulse on Sept 8 using the Survey coupon and everything seemed great. Received a confirmation for Stardock sales saying my order was being processed, and then nothing......... I replied back to Stardock sales asking for an update it and they created some sort of ticket. Since then I have been waiting, 3 business days so far. I don't know it they took my money from my MC yet, or if the delay will keep me o
Strange, I received confirmation that my order was received for and was being processed, but nothing after that. I'll bet it is because I used the survey coupon. I bought on Sept 8, but am still waiting.............
Same thing for me, I pre-ordered paid by MC and have not received anything that shows up on impulse showing I bought anything! I've had ticket in stardock sales since Sept 9, and Nothing.
I'd really like to see a flack turret, similar to the regular turret, but be very effective against fighters and bombers. It would make it more difficult for someone to crush the defenses with just a few carriers.
Basically you'd have to have ownership. (Have to be Colonised by player) Not a big advantage, but enough to make it worth fighting over!
I've been playing SINS alot and I believe I had figured out a way to make the use and control of the Pirate bases much more worthwhile. I am not a programmer but I believe it would be an easy change. Basically everything is the same until a player controls the pirates. My suggestion is that when a player controls the sole pirate base the following happens. Pirates are still active in the game. Controling player is immune from
I'd like to have Heroes like in master of Orion 2, maybe you need to bid on them. Then they give you bonuses like extra production/money or in conbat. Also they should have their own unique ship. Also random Monsters at unexplored planets, or an elite heavily fortified planet like Orion with powerful technology. Maybe an alternate winning condition (Like Antares) that could be a way to win the game, or get serious artifacts while you hold it. Of course I wouldn't expect any of this for fre
Aside from the poor Vasari, it seems Capital ships are going to be a lot more vunerable (disposable). One of my biggest joys in the game was nursing my battleships up till level 10, now it sounds like a bunch of strickcraft will likely keep them a low levels.
I've had a look throught the Changelog and am pretty excited. Please reply to this post with comments of the 1.1 Change log and Balance comments. (Nothing about Impuse Please!!!) I for one am a little concerned about the increase in strike craft power. Already the Advent (My Favorite race) seems to easily mop up the other races with them. This could push the balance too much. Really I thought the Varsai needed the free Dark fleet just to surv
I like to go All Caps, then once I have them built, I wait to have all of my technologies before researching the rest of my supply. By building just Caps verses AI very rarely do experience any losses. I may lose a battle, retreat repair and try again though. Early on I make sure to get repair bays, after that it is all gravy.
I like the idea of Missle bases but they should come out of your Supply points. So if you want a uber defended planet, you have to pay by lack of Offence. It would work for me because I like to use mostly Capital ships for my standing fleets.
Truthfully I for myself use "Locked Aliances" in Single player as I prefer to concentrate on my own empire management. I prefer the "Master of Orion" style of diplomacy such as other empires wishing to trade technoloy, or warn you about your military buildup on their border or demanding planets. When I play SINS with diplomacy I tend to just ignore the AI and they all end up attacking me. *Corrected spelling.
Has anyone heard of Master of Orion III? Stardock are Gods by comparison!
I've been playing SINS a great deal versus the AI and find that at end game, even my own maxed out overlapping defence is barely a speed bump to fleets at that time. Here are some suggestions: Increase defence Cap or make it an option at the main option screen Would be nice to have a buildable flack turret for each race for Anti fighter defence, or perhaps lower strategic slots required for hangers. One very buildable "super-weapon" comparable to
