i wish i had learned php a while back. now i have asp in my head and have no desire to pick up the extra .net stuff. i haven't heard enough positive to back it, although i have been hearing more and more positive about php and it's supposed ease of use with perl scripting...which is a whole new arena for me as well. right now i just dabble with mixing asp and html, while trying to throw in xml learning on the side as well... to many languages out there and not enough bandwidth
ok, stupid question...what the heck is this game? what other game is it like? it looks like it has a "turns" system, like the old star fleet battles stuff, or the old mech warrior rpg's, no?
sorry werewolf i was referring to myself in my post, since i have a dvd player that seems to say the same thing, i think. gotta check when i get home... i gotta stop using "you" and "your" when i am generalizing
wow...just looked through the code...what did you use to create that, out of curiosity? i think it is the absolute coordinates you have your div tags set to for location that may be causing the page to go off peoples' screens... just a guess, since trying to pick it apart in dreamweaver didn't help me figure it out much...
i believe javascript does the screen resolution and browser type recognition easily, IF the visitor has javascript enabled...
you'd have to set up some script to recognize the browser type and screen resolution, then have it call a different indexing (or other) page depending on the mentioned user's resolution. it looks like you have it set to total width not accounting for the scroll bar on the right. if you have a master table with the rest autosizing to 100%, you can just shrink the master by X pixels...say ten or so. Dunno, gotta look at your code, and I'm pro'lly least qualified around here to offer these suggesti
if your dvd player states it can play mp3 files, then it should be able to read off of cd-r's, right? doesn't say it can read non-mp3's or non-dvd's, but the hardware the mp3/dvd is written on CAN be a cr-d, right? it isn't saying i HAVE to write mp3's to a blank dvd to play it in the dvd player, right?
AMD Athlon 1 gig just under 1.25 gigs RAM Nvidia GeForce Ti4200 BUS still pumping the old 133's around on the RAM 40+40+20 gig HD's @5400 19" generic W2K and SuSE dualboot should purr like a kitten when I get the full UT2k3...runs the demo without a hitch... ...and although I tried updating the drivers to render 3D in SuSE, it killed the graphic display. Now I'm stuck on command line and don't know how to get back, even after SAX'ing it. Still a Linux ne
pyrotechnics are good... oh, did i say that out loud???
i run dsl and am close to the link, so decent sites run me through at around 380-600 mbps. the slow server sites, well, they run at their decrepit speeds.....
i'm usually d/l'ing stuff from multiple sites at once while running online streaming video with the volume nixed so i can hear the streaming audio from musicmatch at the same time with a couple IM windows open and usually cleaning out the HD in the background from the junk I d/l'ed earlier that day. broadband is nice...

think i heard this here somewhere... if a sheep is a ram and a mule is an ass how is a ram in the ass a goose?
can you convert dvd files to divX and burn on cd-r?
you could hand Jafa a bar of soap out of that soap box to scrub his shoulder
