I am able to remove custom sovereigns, but the Faction editor doesnt let me remove the bad factions I have made.
Yeah, I just had my best game so far (Challenging/Challenging) ruined by Magnar raping-face with Ashwake early.
Yes. it is early in the game.
While playing on "Challenging" difficulty, I have my sovereign up to level 9 (with a total of +115% bonus to XPs). Magnar has declared war on me and sent their level 15 "Ashwake Dragon" to wreck my party. How does one hold up against something like that?
I figured it out. I puts the road underneath the hero, 1 square.
I have "Endis Steelhand" on the team, he has the "Build Road" ability. He even has a button for it with the rest of his actions. Pressing the button does nothing. How do you use this power?
Thanks for the help, the Command Cruiser Debuff and swarms of Corvettes (after bleeding him off in neutral space) is doing the trick. I am still 2nd place with Credits, even though I have every planet upgraded, trade posts in all of the safe areas, even using Starbases with 2xTrade Post upgrades in areas that don't have a planet (to bridge the trade route). There is some serious cheating going on at the high difficulties.
Helps to read some of the convert data -abilities, buff effects, etc... so you are prepared -somewhat.
Where can I read these?
Thanks for the help, I haven't tried the Corvettes or the Command Ships. I do have my damage tree maxed. I will take your advice and send some small fleets out with Ogrovs. I will avoid fighting him on his own turf. I am not feeling like I am dominating economically, even though I own over 1/2 of the galaxy and the rest of it is shared between 4 other players. I have upgraded all the planets, and have a massive trade network. It feels like the AI is getting
I am playing an AI game on the 2nd hardest difficulty, with one of each type of player, with me being TEC Rebel. I am 4 hours in. Own 55% of the galaxy, have almost all of the tech, a fleet with a titan (level 6) and ALL of the capital ships (level 5-7 each). When even the Vasari Rebel attacks me, I spank him. The TEC Loyalist and Vasari Loyalist rarely come around. The Advent Rebel died a while back, not sure who offed him. But then I get to the Ad
I also get OOM.
I think the post should be called faith in War of Magic, not Elemental since eventually there will be quite a few Elemental:
Do you understand that to spawn off a bunch of franchises from a product, you need to have an epic experience with the first one? If you can't even get this one off the ground, then the others will just be throwing money down a hole.
If you think having the game crash to desktop with an "Out of Memory" error in every game you have played more then 6 months after release is fun, then yes.
How about not adding ANYTHING until there are no more crash bugs? No point in adding new content if you can't play a game from start to finish. As a professional games developer, I cannot get over the fact that there is still crash bugs this far after shipping. Ever time I see a box of Elemental on the store shelves I think "Some poor smuck is gonna buy that only to have it crash on him repeatedly".
Thanks Lord for the quick reply, I currently only use the graphics (vs Cloth) to see where the beaches are, then turn it off. I also don't use the Fog of War. Any other ideas?
While using 1.19a, playing on a large map with max opponents, I am about 63. The game CTD with the "Out of Memory" window. If I play a smaller game or with less opponents, do I fair a better chance of being able to finish a game? I pre-ordered it back before it came out but haven't been able to finish a game. So, I come back and try to play every month or so. Anyone been able to trouble shoot a work-around? I want to finish a game.
I would say no. When I first bought the game, I became a beta-tester. I put the game down for over 2 months, then came back and I still feel like a beta-tester. By the way, in my current game, I just quit playing because the Tower of Sorcery doesn't apply any benefit (it just states on the pop-up info card that it costs me 3 gold a season to maintain). I tried building it anyway, just incase it would give me some tech research points.... but no, it didn't even show u
They may have been destroyed by wandering monsters. It's not out of the realm of possibility. They're supposed to start with at least one super strong guardian unit though....
I guess so, but the 1st turn hadn't started yet and I get multiple messages that the factions are gone. I started over again. Now, during character creation, all of the equipment avaliable to the custom wizard is grey'd out. Also, when
I wasn't aware minor factions could just up and quit the game. You're talking like, Ilyana and those factions right?
Yes. Usually, the pop-up message says they have been destroyed.
I decided to stop restarting and just play (in a game with 5 minors giving up before turn 1). Janusk shows up on turn 1 as an army with 3 other characters. I do not have the gold to hire them, so no Janusk for me. Is this also a feature? I have played since the game was released (I personally found it too buggy dive into). Should I attach a saved game?
I have be been trying to start a game with a custom faction and custom wizard. Everything was fine for the first three game creations, but since the 4th restart and onward, after the map loads, but before the 1st turn, 3-5 minor factions will bow-out of the game. Bug or feature?
How about we let Brad finish his game vs helping others with theirs?
Well, I haven't played the game since the release candiate, still waiting for the "Gold Master" version, aka 1.1. But I had the same problem with I first played. Farms are built differently then the other buildings. I believe that, instead of the farm being in the build menu, you have to click on the fertial land tile and then the option to build the farm will pop up. I hope that helps.
In my current game, I have 2 champions with that trait and I don't notice an increase. I thought that maybe each provided a +10% bonus so I had not reached a noticable improvement. Are champions' bonuses weaker then a sovs? (Well except the +1 gilder....)
