Yep. In beta he wasn't a strong demigod but he had a lot of controlling possibilities. He was hard to kill with mist(which you'd just put 1 point in for the low MPS, which was 'fixed', but now mist is just weak), but you could screw with people until allies showed up. And I've used minion builds before. They don't work except against ai. :)

I wouldn't even use spit if its dps was spread over a longer time. Even now it's not that good against the better players that use dispell on it or use potions when retreating. It's only powerful against newer players.. they try running away, die, and spam on the forums "Game is brokenn!!!!!11111 this is uncountereable omg!" when there are tons of counters. :/ A 250g potion will make sure it doesn't kill you on retreat. And spit is not much dam
I was thinking the same exact thing, that armor shouldn't drop below 0. I just wasn't sure how everyone would feel about it. Honestly, dropping people into negative armor is REALLY fun >__> The damage increase is so insane it's funny.. It's sort of like "You're new, so i'm going to end this game realllyyy fast.
Mist form at level I in beta did 25 points (it was increased by 25 like they said!)
Od
Should add 100 things to the UI so you can't even see the game anymore and you're only looking and data and fluff..
I have a UI suggestions thread already that i made 6 months ago for demigod portraits. It lacks ones for minions since those weren't in the game then, but same idea. http://forums.demigodthegame.com/323188/page/4/#replies Anyways i updated the thread to add: Heart of life(not so drastic changes..) and how instant cast times shouldn't stop you. <
One thing I loved about DotA, despite there being only ONE map, was the fact that you could hide in the trees and ambush. You can't really do this in Demigod due to the way maps are set up. Also, the river area in DotA which could be used as an ambush route added some awesome flanking tactics. I'd like to see some of this in future Demigod maps.
Like I said.. testers were asking for this before we even got
No instant activation should stop movement. If it stops movement, it sould say 0.1 sec cast time. I'll add this too my thread, I was thinking of it earlier.
You're right that demigod kills are worth too much money. They should be about half, but with some bonuses added for killing people that have a killing streak, or killing someone who killed you(bonus for getting revenge) I think 300-1000 gold, depending on levels, would be good.. But exceeding that with killing people on streaks or getting revenge. Getting to level 6 when others are 3 or 4 is a massive advantage, and can sometimes just be attributed to luck.. Of co
Yay! :D This is good news.. well unless you wanna buy it. Try impulse? =]
Ok new rule when making any balance topics containing the words nerf or OP; think long and hard about how to play them and how to beat them, try really hard to prove yourself wrong before you even post anything. Then, if you're still sure, include reasons why they're harder to counter than any other effective strategies. If you've thought extra hard, include some steps that might remedy it without making a worse problem.[
A lot of skills cast too fast to make interupts useful. Anything under 1 second you can't interupt because of the .350 delay. It's great for interupting teles though.
Are you sure that potions work in the middle of a fight? Don't you have to stop what you are doing and stand there for a second or two for a potion to work? Well, that didn't happen in this fight. We just stood there and traded blows.
Yes. Yes it does. Has a cast time like anything else. Anyways, he might of been juking or something? Or your hammer didn't hit directly. Hammer splash damage is much less than a di
Seemed pretty clear to me.. It's something cost effective if you already have 20mps, but not good if your mps is only 10.
I would like some clearification on this. To a newbie like me, it isn't obvious what is better when for what Demigod. + or %. With minion idols, generals and assassins are pretty equal. But now idols are very high dps/heal for their cost early on.
Yeah I haven't had problems playing against other Erebus.. but I roll over people with him. *shrugs* I think a lot of it is newbs don't understand armor or how to play. He's not like massively OP can't win against. Just has a tiny edge. Like TB and Rook in phase3 had such a huge advantage; it's nothing like that.
Yeah she's not like guild wars monk. In guild wars the monks are balanced to outheal the damage of 2.5 people, pretty much. Here.. Well her heal will negate one strong ability, not that and the dps done until it recharges.
about 300dps without items.
Deep freeze does more than just damage.
I woudl beg to differer. The way attack/move speed stacks up like that and then skills ontop is pretty OP. Just look at Surge of Faith..
I quit if it lags all the time. And every game lags.. so i've quit pretty much every game. :/ People with less than 2 sim speed shouldn't even be allowed to play online.
Sedna's silence is the best way to kill us erubus players.
Heh yeah.. I was playing sedna one game against erebus, and he though he kept trying to mist to not die, i'd just wait between him and his base, or heal myself inside the mist then pounce and silence when he exits. =]
Actually it's not THAT easy to get hte expensive ones. Some cost 2k. Figure average favor is about 200 per game. That's about 4 hours of gameplay. But 4 hours of gameplay means about 20 hours of connectivity issues, for 1 item. :) If all were 500favor, that's just slightly more than 2 won games. Then they could all be balanced fine.
i think for acceptable disconnects, including timeouts, each time it happens, the players should vote on whether to file a complaint, which would affect the quitter's participation rating. Their participation rating should be based on number of games full played (good) and mid game disconnects (bad) and displayed when joining a game.
Yeah in Savage2 you have karma and every single replay of every single game someoen plays.</
