Hiigaran Destroyer all the way. Cmon, the thing fires broadside, it doesn't get any better than that.

Shadow is right there, if you anticipate you have a good chance. Its pretty easy against poor Sedna players, actually, since you control the circumstances that make her cast it. In a game between good players though, it becomes an interesting mind game of Sedna trying to mix up the timing on her heals and UB trying to guess the timing correctly. On each try UB has a relatively low chance to get it, but even a single correct guess can doom Sedna.
Just played against good Sedna with my UB. Tried different builds. No way. There's no possible UB build to win against good Sedna. She pounce me with 3k dmg in 5 seconds + here minions and self-healing. Non of 3 UB's build (spit , spit\ooze, ooze) can beat Sedna. Maximum what i can do is to dmg her till half of her 5.5k HP. Even with help of my towers she cant be beaten. My thought - here pounce should be nerfed
I don't think so. If you look at his game history Antiock
1) Ally Portraits with targeting functionality. In the lower right hand corner, there should be a portrait of each one of your allies, similar to but smaller than the one that appears in the bottom-center of the current DG screen. Targetting a portrait with an ability such as Heal or Shield should be a valid alternative to targetting the actual DG on the map. Why is this desirable? With no allied DG collision, several DGs often end up stacked on top of eachother during large bat
This is a good idea, nice and simple and should cut down alot of premade whining. Add it at the same time as team automatch.
However, I think the point is that you will already have these items purchased, this is then a good upgrade. I try never to save money in this game, it always goes on an item, if I have 2500 in the bank and a slot free and I am back at base, then I will get the hauberk, a couple of consumables and get back out there. Otherwise you just have to come back 1750 GP later to upgrade.(In the Narmoth ring comparison) I find it is more effective to take what you can afford
For HP UBoots and Nimoth are much better, if you still need more you can get almost as much on the cheap from Banded but personally at that point you probably have what I would classify as "enough" HP and should get speed or mana items (or save for giants). Its HPS is nice, but relatively insignificant if you or an ally have priest minions around, like you should.
The only bane of (at least Fire) TB is vell played interupts. Sedna, Oak and Ice TB can really ruin your day if they know what they are doing.
I'd say the real weakness of TB is priest minions. Harassing doesn't work when HP comes back faster than you can wittle it down.
Why does everyone like Hauberk so much? Its bad.
With Diamond Pendant and Magnificent Presence II you can pounce or heal every 5.6 seconds - add a celerity flag in there and cooldown comes down to just over 4 seconds.
Yes, but a normal Sedna can get all those things too. Compared to a normal Sedna, the Diamond Pendant build only goes 10% faster.
what's interesting is that the some of the best Sednas playing right now have around 4k health at level 10 - so not stacking quite as much as your example
Nice guide. Oak is a top tier DG when played this way.
Twice as fast? Where are you getting that? More like... 110% as fast. CD doesn't help at all early game, you don't have enough mana to spam the spells on recharge. Thus you are significantly weaker than a Sedna that took BotF early game, so beating one is not a matter of "not sure" its a "definitely not." Late game being able to Pounce 10% faster makes a difference, but you probably arrived at the late game weaker / later than you would have by going with BotF. Also once there you'll
Premades who go out of their way to seek weaker opponents or disguise their premadeness are assholes. Premades who don't are fine. I don't even know what to say to the lone players. Maybe, "what the hell are you doing?" This is a team game, and the only games that are meaningful or fulfilling in any way are the ones between organized teams. If you don't play in a premade, or at the very least are trying to meet people so that you can form a premade, then you are wasting
Zech, I don't think what Cosmoe is saying is petty at all. Hes just trying to focus the thread on its original purpose, which was to investigate a possible discrepency between recorded and actual queen usage. Theres something to be said for forum organization, so queen's effectiveness, or lackthereof, would probably be better discussed in its own thread. The view that "I can post whatever I want whenever I want!!!!" is childish. Certainly you can, but whether or not you should is another
Theres nothing inherantly wrong with premades, in fact, they are playing the game the way it was meant to be played, and have been greatly failed by GPG for lack of a team pantheon. However, there is something very wrong with premades who go out of their way to disguise it. Anyone who does that is just inflating their record and ego by stomping pug teams in meaningless games that nontheless tick their record up +1. This can be as simple as just lying when asked, but can reach even dee
There are a lot of bad TB players. I suppose its concievable that they're all just doing it wrong and he could actually be a good DG, but from what I've seen thus far I'd rate him like 6th out of the 8 DGs.
Well lets see, other than the Diamond Pendent the build looks pretty standard, so you're basically trading 800 HP + 5 HPS for 10% Cooldown. The HP loss is doubly-bad since your Priests will heal for less. You will be much weaker as compared to a normal Sedna in the early mid. Later on your cooldown advantage will let you Pounce slightly more often, but its not worth it imo.
I use High Priests every single game, they're so good. :) It'd be nice to have official word from GPG, but it might be intentional. Some farsighted dev might have thought ahead that since all the other generals on a team will buy Bishops, Sedna with Wind 2 could get stackable and improved priest minions on the cheap. It could be an intentional Sedna perk, though probably an unnecessary one considering how good Sedna is anyways.
This is a great idea, thanks for doing this! My team has been using skype, but we think ventrilo would be an upgrade in terms of lag-reduction and random disconnects, so I'll be taking you up on this offer. This will also make it a lot easier for premades to find and play eachother!
Reg is like the 4th or 5th best DG imo.
Hypothetical situation for you, Mil. I can't account for every single little factor but just humor me: You are midgame in a very close high level 3v3. You have a chance to suicide kill one of their guys as he runs through his center towers on cataract. You know for a fact that neither of his buddies are close enough to save him. You do not know whether or not he has a potion. Do you go for it?
Homeworld games . Some of the best space RTS games, with outstanding visuals that really give you a huge sense of scale. Although they could've done without the "you carry your old fleet into the next level" stuff, which can sometimes kill you in the next level .That was only Homeworld 2, it liked to punish people for doing well. As far as the homeworld series goes, the original was the best. Carrying your fleet over to the next level wa

/signed. My friend and I always moan about this when we play. When I tell a monk to get behind me, I mean for it to stay behind me , not dance in a circle, sally forth, and then skewer itself on a tower. The sad part is that by now I can actually anticipate its horrid AI and have developed some kind of perverse rhythm for continuously retasking them. Still, this needs fixing. Now.
