Quoting Polt22, reply 5 Will there also be an update to the Galaxy Forge portion? Will look into this. Am currently unfamiliar with what would be required to make this possible.
from my knowledge all that is needed is the gsdef & the icons folder, based on the previous 7deadly sins galforge additions harpo

lotek are you useing vista ro window7? if you are then check the program files galaxy folder for "compatibiliy files" and drag them out of compatibility & paste in the galaxy folder. hope this helps harpo
in my win7 64 box I had to extract to the desktop but it works from there. other items that might help include directx march 2008 and later. it might help most to email the error report to support at ironcladgames.com harpo

manshooter I sounds great and I will be among the early downloaders when release harpo
when you click on the map not on a planet you get the map & new planet defaults in the properties window. in the galaxy section you will see "Randomize Positions" with true next to it, click on te true you will see a listbox control click on the downward arrowhead then click false then you can choose which position when you start the map harpo
mooster in sins it can not happen as the engine FORBIDS more than one wormhole path from a wormhole to be active ie work harpo
thanks next idea is that EACH player has a home planet allocated. the easiest way to check the players in galforge is to click on edit then click on players. if there is more players listed ie you had loaded a map designer map then delete the unwanted players, assuming the random start locations is true in the map. hope you get it fixed for your benefit. harpo
this problem also occurs when you save a forge map ing the ironclad games\sins\galaxy folder insted of the program files\stardock games\sins\galaxy folder. try moving the maps to the program files galaxy folder & see if this happens harpo
do you have flash 10? it has been reported in many threads from several stardock sites that with flash 10 the avatar upload is broken and that the "FIX" is to uninstall flash 10 and install flash9 hope this helps harpo

there is a tool to update the map to 1.15/entrechment 1.01, but it does not add the maps to the galaxy.manifest for entrenchment. the tool is called sinsmapupdater.exe and works inthe default locations for sins harpo
galaxy forge maps need to be in the program files\stardock games\sins of a solar empire\galaxy folder or the entrenchment\galaxy folder and be listed in the galaxy.manifest and the galaxymanifest must have the correct number of lines at the top. if the lines count is low then it reads only the first number of maps, of too many it probabley would crash sins(do not know, but possible if inadiqate error checking hope this helps harpo
Ok, I updated .net and Galaxy Forge is working. However, I am still having the exact same problem with Galaxy Forge that I had when trying to create new maps by just editing the .galaxy files as text. Any new map I create, be it edited text or with galaxy forge, will not show up in the game to be loaded as a map. I have tried saving them to the sins /galaxy folder and the entrenchment /galaxy folder.&n
I just had this problem. I was messing around with old maps trying to get them to work in Entrenchment and I started getting this. So I took all the custom maps out of the folder and reset the manifest. Everything started working again.
Hmm...I have downloaded and extracted it, but it won't run. When I try and open the exe, it gives me a windows error report option without doing anything. Yes, I have tried re-downloading it.
have you downloaded the dotnet v2 from microsoft? this has happened before in this thread, so it should fix it harpo
from what I have read in other entrenchment modding threads there should be a entity.manifest and posibly other manifest files for the mod to bea able to load. you could try reading https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/333041, https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/341493, https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/341528 on maps in entrenchment, https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/341511, and https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/341103. hope these help
I have been informed about an incompaibility with non-english windows, the testing is currently under way for a general fix of the problem. hopefully I will be able to release a international version sometime harpo
if you are running entrenchment 1.00 then update to 1.01 if 1.01 have you added the changed files to your mods manifest? harpo
have you updated you dotnet v2.0 ? harpo
the change from beta to release basically wants the uninstall of sins & entrenchment beta & then download & install of sins then entrenchment harpo
the answer is to edit the galaxy.manifest to add the filenames of the custom(galaxy forge) maps and do not forget the number of files counter at the top of the file harpo
you could try a uninstall/delete directories/re-install & see if that fixes it harpo
the only suggestion that I can make is the obvious one of emailing from the email that bought entrenchment & get their help harpo
the maps are compatible, the only thing is the manual edit of the galaxy.manifest and increase the count of lines at the start of the manifest harpo
