Dauntless Ansible, I don't mean to be an ass, but when I look at your avatar, I have to ask myself, "Would Ender Wiggin be satisfied with playing against AI forever or would he prefer the challenge of playing against other people? What would Ender play?" (OK Haree, go ahead and roast me.)
I play against people online all the time, just not in RTS! RTS AI fun > Vs Human fun [e digicons]^_^[/e] I'd get a lot more fun out of Coop hu
It is all about braggin' rights for preteen and teen social groups. [e digicons]:|[/e] The twently somethings get in on the action via association.
I used to think this when achievements were a new thing, until I played Left 4 Dead and (probably because of the not very high amount of content) we spent some time trying to do the achievements and it was a lot of fun and was a cheap way to increase the replayability. Mostly I just ignore them but in some

I've never crashed other than in match making in the early days, played several times since 1.1. I've been trying to get my system to run Arma 2 well and in doing that upgraded to newer graphics drivers for my Dell XPS 1730 laptop. Since then the first game of Demigod I did I crashed, did a /facepalm and went back to play Arma 2 instead :(

The Rook AI is still a cunt. I just played Pantheon where the Rook on my side didn't join and the TB on opponents side doesn't join. That's not even in the slight bit fair, the TB was outrunning my fully upgraded movement speed senda when running, the Rook didn't bother retreating, at all. God I'm annoyed with the AI right now.

1) Most people play TEC
I believe that no one {except maybe the developers} really knows that for sure. If your basing it on the Starbase poll, then your logic is flawed. Most people here are giving their opinion on how to improve the game's balance, not which race should be better than the others.
My logic isn't floored I was stating what I believed to be the case to actually b

I'm interested to know why the Rook AI sucks SO DAMN HARD even now after several updates. All AIs have got similar floors, not retreating early enough given the threat level, not retreating in an effective direction, retreating at 70% health taking 5 steps then changing it's mind and going to attack again, and doing the same thing at 20%(!) health when I'm clearly going to kick his arse. The Rook however is in a whole different league of pathetic. All Demigods seem to st
i disagree here. priests will help your minions push through the enemy waves to towers, but at towers, they one shot pretty much everything, so it rerally doesn't help, especially if they have the first tower upgrade
But having the Priests there gives me a few more moments to get some hits in without taking damage back.

I know it's bad form to state realism when defending a computer game but I'm only stating it because it was the first thing that popped in my head. In space ships wouldn't bank, it's pointless, unless their thrusters were under their wings.
You can actually get occulus in game. Just a gold-colored version of the mesh above. He has no stats or abilities though, has a vision range of 1, and dies in a hit or two from towers, though. Oh, and he doesn't respawn.
He sounds overpowered :(

The video has proved to me what a horrible experience playing online will be, god it looked like such boring little hyperactic click fest, kind of like C&C games online now. I'm going to have to wait until I see a lot of reviews that claim the single player is worth the price of admission.
The cons are obvious and overstated.
How true.
Honestly, it surprises me that so many people are complaining about this. There are way, WAY more important things to fix in the game. But that's an alternative topic.
It's not actually many, it's a few people who have claimed to not get Priests as a strategy and then a few people who think they know that you shouldn't get Priests who can't see the benefit of them.

I never get Priests early game personally because I don't think it's worth the gold but when people on my team do it's hardly a bad thing. I often get healed by the Priests to keep me in the lane longer and in some cases help me in a fight. Plus my sides minions then always win and start chipping away at the towers giving me an opportunity to take them out quicker, denying them teleport locations.
What Valve is doing, though, is essentially the same thing, only they're charging full price for it even though it's not a new game. It's the same game, with different campaigns. There are not enough brand new features and engine updates to qualify it for a full-priced "sequel" title.
Like Doom 2, or Homeworld Cataclysm, or Homeworld 2, or a Halo sequel, or Call of Duty World at War or Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2? Anyway, you get the point. Have they act
Second, I disagree with your contention that modders won't mod for older games--look at any of the major modding sites; people are working on mods for Serious Sam, Half Life, Max Payne, and other games that are much older than L4D.
Not to mention the fact that both games will be using a very similar engine so making maps compatible with both will probably be elementary for a modder.
Who expected a better verison which comes out 1 year after the first would appear. Not even EA does that. L4D was mainly unfinished as well I more wanted it so I could play with some friends who have had it since release day. Valve also said they would release DLC for the game, they have released one and then they announce a squeal which is what most people expected to be in the DLC or more in the game at the start, they spent 6 years making L4D
As I understand it the system was changed some time back to not do imbalanced player counts as readily. So right now, a fair number of the lopsided teams are being caused by people quitting as the match loads because they didn't get the premade they wanted.
You know a couple of times it really felt like people were working together way too well in Pantheon, now I get it. Any chance you guys are working to resolve that issue?
Stupid consumers, always companies to follow through on the content they promised to provide. Why can't they be smart like you and bend over and take it like they should?
Your brain doesn't seem to be functioning properly, they have already said they are still working on L4D. Bend over and take it? It's one of the best purchases I ever made, I took nothing but a superb product from them and have enjoyed it for countless hours since. But boo hoo I shoul

I got in a game yesterday that was 3v2 in my favor and I actually said in chat saying it was harsh for them. We got completely schooled, I'm pretty good with Sedna, have taken on 2 people on my own several times but my team were quite inexperienced and there was no way I was taking on these 2 on my own, they were really good. Feeling that I'd learnt something I went on and ended up in a Regulus / Sedna combo against 3 players and we managed to get all 3 to rage quit within about
