I don't really buy what you are saying. Once you have read one software licensing agreement you know the basics of almost all of them, you know full well you are buying a license to use the software on the media and you have purchased the media itself
Do you? Can you say that all EULA's are the same without looking at them. I think not. While they all share a lot of similarities, a lot also contain other snippets of information. Just look at the Googl

Most of the time, when you buy software you are just buying the license to use it, you don't actually own it. Software is intellectual property. In this case, the license is non transferable. Sometime read those huge contracts to which you are constantly clicking "Yes, I agree". You might find it fasinating what you are agreeing with.
No they are n

I'm quite disaappointed with Sins. And the OP is correct, after a while it does become a grind with games all playing out in exactly the same way. I've said this befaore, and I still think that it's the case, that there are no elements of 4X in Sins other than what you find in a standard RTS. As far as strategy is concerned, there's no more strategy than a standard well balanced RTS. And as far as RTS's go, Sins is only average.
Is there something that differentiates Si
Controversial statement ahead: Just another nail in the coffin of this game. It was a great game, but the constant shouting of the people who only ever play TEC is successfully managing to nerf anything that isn't TEC, and this has been happening since 1.04. How about we nerf the TEC cannon - can wipe out a planet in 2 shots? Too powerful that's obviously too powerful. I notice that the TEC economy is massively ahead of everyone elses - once it's fully
Having had experience of "independent testing for Microsoft partnership/certification" I can say that the certification is actually very easy to get, especially as the "independent testers" are far less rigorous than our own in house QA team. I was there when the "independent testers" tested out product, and I can say that they skipped roughly two thirds of the tests that they should have done. Including one that would have failed our product.... But well done anyway....
is vista worth getting now?
Not really. I have upgraded my home system to Vista SP1, but not my work system as Vista SP1 breaks some of the things that I use regularly for work.
As noted, you're basically paying twice. I guess you could look at it as paying a fee to get the use of it early, and ultimately it's the consumer's decision on whether or not to pay that fee or wait the extra 3 months.
Actually, you don't pay for it twice. Look at EA's store and you will see that if you purchase the Creature Creator, they give you a code that gives you the price you paid for the creature creator off the price of spore. So in the nd, you pay the same for
All i here is whine whine whine. LRM spam doesn't win games. I think some of u just dont want a bruised ego,
Not at all. I don't play online because: 1) It doesn't interest me. 2) I can't play for more than 30 minutes at a time. 3) I would rather enjoy 100% of the games I play in single player than have 20% of my games ruined by a d*ck while playing on-line and only enjoy 80% of them. 4) Past experience with on-line games reveals that there are a surprisingly l
mad_axeman,that was a bit confrontational and did nothing to answer the original questions. Woe upon us the day we must look to the USA to be the moral standard of the world. I like the idea of Pirates, but dislike the implementation of them in game. I like - the idea of marauding bands of enemies as an annoyance. - the fact they can be used as an experience factory. I dislike - pirates turning up with 50 ships (it's just not going to happen) - non random attack patterns of the pirates - the fact that they can always be bought for money - that you can't buy them off once they launched (I would have thought that pirates woul
Argh. No edit!!
As for the future of the US, I beleive that what SpacePony says to be the truth. We are not in a recession. The recession was created by the 'Bush-Haters' to scare people into becoming one of them. $40 is cheap!!! In the UK, games usually retail at anything between £30 and £40 on the PC (currently around $60 and $80 (US Dollars)). I object to paying those prices, but $40 is an absolute bargain!!
