I had to work so I missed out on watching, but I kept getting text messages from friends about phantom calls against the Lakers. Just means I'm 1 game closer to going to a playoff game. Got tickets to game 7 if there is one. >=] [quote who="Draakjacht" reply="5271"
personally I like the idea of a culture module for the advent that drops a planets allegiance no need to bomb if they revolt right?
That's what happens for culture already without any mods. Your culture on your planets raises your planet's allegiance. You culture on an enemy planet drops their allegiance until they revolt and your enemy loses the planet. (Personal / DS) "On Finley 1, the uneasy tensions between the two groups continue to build. Whispers of a separatist movement can be heard with the blowing wind. A large portion of the population are growing more concerned over the recent sightings of Advent and Vasari vessels moving through the system. The simple fact that these have all been civilian craft is a point lost on most people." --NewsNet &nb

The status for the latest build is slow progress. Nacey is busy with work and everything so consequently the mod takes a hit for time being put into it. It actually does work across all three versions, the vanilla version just needs you to perform an extra step or two to get it working, however you lose the biggest benefit to getting it, which is the graphics enhancements. It's not a published step because why bother getting it if you have to remove most of the goodies that

heh. I got sent a picture on my phone... A hot chick on a bed... The message attached to it said that if you didn't see the black dude sitting next to her, pass it on to your homies. I looked again and sure enough, there was a guy next to her. He blended in with the back ground pretty good though. Not like that parrot up there.

Hopefully most of the regulars, if not all of us.... Posted a (the) Distant Stars galaxy file in the maps thread if anyone want's to sink their teeth into that monster for a while.... and it will take you a while... 73 systems is a lot to scout. 74 if you count the black hole. Although more then half of those 73 aren't explored yet in the lore so I don't have anything in those systems except for their stars.... You'll see what it's all about when you g

Good, and here's a new one for everyone..... The distant stars region. All stars and explored systems are in for some major 8 player action.... Pirates? Yeah, got those too. If you thought black 5 was tough enough on it's own.... Well, it's not the only system there... http://sites.google.com/site/steelers086/gamefiles/DistantStars.galaxy

Hey, I'm just trying to keep you happy Carbon. We are all 18% Carbon after all. So if you're not happy, we're all in trouble. I didn't really give a shit about that thing that happened, I was voicing other people's concerns along with a few questions of my own, when I got disrespected twice, then I had a problem with it, and since I love conflict.... Yeah.... Most fun I've ever had on these forums.

Glad it helps you out, but to be fair though, you did kind of put it out there to everyone that it was "the" fix without noting any of the limitations, which required some pre-damage control by adding the LAA disclaimer/lesson noting that it isn't a fix... Just a band-aid of sorts for those who have machines capable of taking advantage of it. It's kind of important to note the limitations to these things so you don't get a hundred people trying it and then coming

Oh yeah, this one... https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/335474/page/111/#2571696 I'm just going to keep using as many different metaphors as I can until people stop recommending LAA as the solution, since it's not. I should probably chronicle all of my metaphors on the wiki so I know which one's I've done before. What should I use next? Seats on a bus?

More specifically, you're referring to Large Address Aware which has been covered a number of times already. In simplest terms I can think of, think of street addresses for houses. Your house address may have 2 numbers, it may have 3 numbers, it may have 4 number, or it may have 5 numbers, possibly more. 32 bit systems and programs such as Sins recognize RAM addresses such as 6 elm street, 34 pine avenue, and 447 easy street. Then you hit your 2 gig address limit. So

In an effort to clean up the place, all posts of mine in the entire thread that have not explicitly added something to the lore have been replaced with: (No longer necessary view edit for original post) I encourage others to do the same. It only took me 30 minutes and I was one of the "busier" OOC posters.
