Playing on Normal... not really an RTS guy so I'm sure I'm doing things in a non-efficient manner... But damn, this game is hard... Cities are bewildering.. Basically, I'm just building anything and everything in each city as it is available. What I don't understand is when/why I can build some things in some cities, not in others, etc... I can barely afford to buy anything... Things

When I've been leveling up, I haven't been 'picking' anything... Ooops... But still in the civilization tech, I've been getting a alot of new buildings... So it must auto pick if you don't???
I've been playing for awhile now.. I think most of my techs are up to level 7 or so and I've built every building possible. Yet every time I go to the store to get gear I see no better than a staff!?! I'm playing Kingdom. I also seem to have a real dearth of montsters/quest locations/even inn's... Something seems wrong..
Ok, the Hardware cursor did not fix the problem. However, turning off Use Full screen did! And it fixed issues I was having with the confirmation dialogs when exiting the game, etc.. I did have the Resolution in the game set to the same as my screen display. So I'll just play in windowed mode, which doesn't look any different anyway. But that is a bug...
All of them. I cannot get them to expand. I have the latest Nvidia drivers for the 8800 GT. I notice that on many things I need to click slightly to the right of the icon to have effect, but this isn't helping in this case.
Really, there are just such a bunch of drama queens on here... This game is totally playable as of now. yes it needs some work, but at the rate the patches are coming out, I give it a week not 3-4 months. Frankly, I believe the days of finished games at release are long over. Especially for smaller companies. This is the world we live in and it aint that bad.... Sure, maybe Starcraft II was in better shape at release, but it also had a
Seriously... I am I the only person with this problem???
Yeah, I've got one built and several queued... But can't expand it. When it's expanded you can see better time remaining and the queue order.
From the video tutorials I learned that you should be able to click on the + sign on the icon for your city on the upper left corner of the screen. This would expand it to show what you're presently building as individual icons underneath it. However, I cannot click the + sign or if I do, nothing happens... Help
After a battle my sovereign went ot level two and I'm supposed to distribute the point. However, I can't. The cursor is the dotted line to an x and I cannot select or click anything. And the OK button seems to be greyed out.
First... My Fertile Land and Lost Library have big red exclamation points on them. No idea why... Second, when I click the plus icon on the expansion tree to the left of the screen for the city, it won't expand. Nothing happens... Any ideas? Thanks
As 1.05 has been released your review is OOD... Check back in tomorrow.
I was under the impression that there were 3 micro expansions planned... but I just read in the iGN review that this is the last one? Is there no longer a 3rd expansion planned? Thanks,
When I bought them their was a purchase confirmation page displayed showing codes for the game itseld, the Stone PRisoner, and some armor. I did not write them down as I expected to get an email with them or be able to find them online. However, I cannot find an email with the codes, and the only code I can find in impulse is only for the game itself. I used PayPal to pay and I got receipt emails from them but there was no codes in the email
The mod forum seems a bit on the convulted side... Could I get a brief rundown on the top mods available for the latest patch of Entrenchment? I know there are some which make graphical enhancements, some that increase the scope and variety without affecting gameplay, and others that radically alter gameplay... And to make it more confusing, some that include other mods.... Any help would be appreciated... Thanks, Javas
This game is freakin' awesome... there is so much incredible variety from the very get go... however, this also makes it intimidating as hell.... I keep asking about a guide, and I keep getting look in the strategy forums... Really? Has no one written a guide? Seems like in a game like this, little guides or guide compilations would be all over. In any case, Whats the best way to get started? What's a good map to begin with? A good race?&n
Actually I'm not a noob... had the game and the expansion since the day they came out... but I never have time to play so I've barely scratched the surface. The games seems to complex from a strategic standpoint. Thus - where can I find a good comprehensive strategy guide? (without just searching the forums) Second, I play mostly solo... How do pick maps? Or just do random mostly? So many options... it's mind boggling... Do most p
Seriously... More maps is the priority... A large variety of maps makes the current demigod base 'last' longer... You should be putting out 3-4 maps each month IMO.... And maps for 4 or 6 players should be given priority as most games have this range. Items come next... 1 new item a week minimum... Then demigods.... Don't think.. Just do it... Javaslinger
Who pissed off Frogboy??? No more dev journals in like 5 days! I'm dyin' for news!
Who's Alice? And is Nancy cute?
Played one game after eight attempts! I gave up on the second game after 15 attempts. Before the issues I could connect and play within 2 to three tries. Fixed crashes = good so far Allowing people to show up in a lobby when they eventually have a NAT failure or some other host failure = bad The patch is far from ready for a final release. We'll be lucky if they figure out what's going on by Tuesday
I agree that favor is definiately messed up still... Several people in my games have reported suddently having favor in the millions... lucky them...
If I am running without a router (directly connected to a cable modem which DOES NOT double as a router) and I am not running a firewall (ie naked to the world) and I am still having occasional issues... Are the issues becuase other players are fudging my game up with their issues? Since my issues are only occasaional, can I again assume that the issues ARE NOT related to my ISP? Are there any other possibilities? Thanks in advance...
When people say the update didn't help them, I hope they realize that only the BETA update really has any changes which could help. The non-beta update didn't really change anything.
Sorry.. I already posted that I prefer to NOT wade through other threads to find info that should be properly presented. I don't think it's asking too much to have patch/update/changelog info readily available at a glance. There are lots of other developers that do this... GPG should do it to. Well... They did with Supreme Commander when it was new... I guess they forgot this time around.
<
