Alpha Centauri had almost-blind research as you indicated the field of research. Would this fit as an option in GC2 at some point? Now or in some later version? Since we're at it.... by modding, "blind" research could give a greater percentage to end up on certain techs if you act more militaristic, commercial or whattever.

For a matter of time, I had not played the game since an eternity, and had not even bothered looking into it seriously. But now my first comment by looking at the planet interface is that it seems to have loooots of info and things to tweaks. But I'm often not representing the other players, so maybe I'm the only one... Maybe even clearer separation between "general info", "construction" and whatnot would be of some use. Interface is always about hard decisions so, I dunno just from o

Trading: Sometimes, when I change the money I ask for some tech, it simply adds up on the bottom of the list. So I get a list with "340bc, 700 bc, 750 bc, 800bc..." when in fact I wont get all this when I'll trade. Also, I can take out the "300" in this last example, and the trade might pass from red to green (???)

Minor: I pick something to put on a new ship I'm building I take it off When I scroll over where there was the component, it still shows "Laser III" or whattever

Just a little thing: give a read to the "All Testers Read This Please" thread: https://www.galciv2.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=162&AID=79994#708492 To make it efficient, bugs are posted in a specific thread without any other content.

Graphic bug: The sun, when it touches the border of the interface (where we click to get everywhere) loses its exterior and all we see is the polygonal network building its "round" surface. My specs: laptop ThinkPad R50 Centrino 1.5 512 RAM Radeon 7500, 32 RAM WinXP DirectX 8.1

I also thought the same about space sharks/monsters being cheezy. I would speak against the space monsters... and for space pirates A random event activating pirates in greater number/strength could have some potential

hehe I am not sure that the developers are into such details right now. It is not efficient to start polishing details when big changes are to be made, since they'll just kick a big bunch of details out of final release anyway.

Maybe the problem is that so many TBS are... the same? /me runs under cover just in case... checks and comes back Really, is there so much difference between building an empire within an environment or another? With grunts instead of colonists, or exploration vessel instead of scout? Different breeds are UFO, GalCiv, the innovative Civ IV (and all others at their time), MOO1-2 in their time... those

Let it be. Bland monopolists with sheer power and less innovation can take over and establish their peaceful (but non-innovative) reign. It is the rule of robots over humans, technocrats over inovators. The king is dead; long life to the king

Well the caption for the GC1 imperial system goes along the lines of : "Occasional displays of public execution and torture keep the general population in line" and I assume that is around the neutral criteria, You dont really need a caption to imagine your perfect society.. No, an imperial system does not suppose or demand any malefic tratment

What I'd like to see: an intelligence as an army. 1- Send spies 2- Let them "gain territory" and control it over counter-intelligence (networking...) 3- Let them use their territory to the extent possible (missions or general objectives)
